Ok, needless to say that my case has been delayed for nothing since they RFE'd me more something I already gave them!

"The Joint sponsor on Form I-864 must be a United States citizen or Lawful permanent resident of the United States. Submit evidence of the joint sponsor's status."

I gave them his birth certificate! I'm a little ticked off right now that it's something they already have! It's right there! Open your eyes! Aghhh!

Anyway, what should I do? Should I resend the copy of the Birth Certificate AND his passport? When I copy his passport, do I just have to copy the biographical page or all the other pages as well?

I must say I am really getting tired of all this... I want it over.

Thanks for any responses.

I'd do the birth certificate, and just the biographical page on the passport.

On our RFE I also included a little cover letter stating something like..

"Please find enclosed requested further evidence; I have included our co-sponsor, (name), birth certificate in addition to a copy of the passport. Should you require any further information please feel free to contact me at xxx-xxxx."

That's what I put on ours, and I also sent it back the same day we got it. I sent it priority. As you can see by the timeline, we were lucky and we were not slowed down.

As much as you'd like to put something to the effect of "here's the info that you obviously lost" probably better just to write it here a bunch of times till you feel better :)

Sorry to hear I was right :(

I would send a copy of the birth certificate and just the bio page of the passport.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

That's what this board is for!!! To vent frustration and turn around and write a very nice letter to them saying "I'm so sorry how could I have forgotten such an important piece"-not!

So many people get RFE's during AOS it's unreal. You'll be ok, just try to get it out quickly.

On my letter I also incuded a little "I an confident that my quick response to your RFE will not delay processing of my AP, or EAD"

Every little bit helps!

Thanks!

I didnt apply for EAD or AP, so I will just write "Here you are you irresponsible idiots! Don't lose it this time! Jeez!" ;)

I have already emailed my father-in-law, asking him to photocopy his BC and bio page of his passport... hopefully I will get it within the next couple days.

On the topic of trying to remain positive, at least it was an easy RFE, and not like, a demand for a medical or something. I thought it was going to be for new passport-style photos as Walgreen's didn't seem to give 100% on them.

Let's just send it back and watch the case transfer to California ;)
