anyone in the United Kingdom waiting for interview

I was just wondering if anyone is going through this. My fiance lives in England. We got approved for out noa2 in january. Got packet 3 end of january he sent it out feb 3. Did his medical feb 13 and still waiting for packet 4 or any kind of information. I am wondering why it is taking so long it seems that everyone is getting interviews dates so close in march or end of march and wondering why it is taking so long in my case and what can I do about it. If I dont have bad luck i dont have luck at all just getting a little concerned and frustrated because noone can give me information...

if you look at my timeline it took almost a month between returning packet 3 and receiving packet 4, don't worry, it will happen eventually.

when you returned the checklist did you put an expected date for travelling?

edit: also did you call the DOS or the embassy to check the package had been received? i found out about my interview being scheduled by calling DOS.

He didnt put an actual travel date and also i keep calling the dos and they said it is not in the system then we called the london embassy today and they said it was not posted yet either that is could take 6-8 weeks. But if it is not posted does that mean they didnt receive it. Im getting to stressed out lol.....

hmm yes i can see that is as clear as mud!

i would call and verify with the embassy that they received the checklist and forms and that you are just waiting for an interview to be scheduled, if that is the case then all you can do is sit tight. i think the 6-8 week thing is a standard reply for the interview wait time so it is likely that they do have your forms. did you send them back via registered post?

and i don't want to make you feel bad but i know that when i sent mine back i put a date that was so close that i got my interview really early but other people who sent theirs back before me and either didn't put a date or put a later date had packet 4 and interviews later too, i think it is luck of the draw really. i hope you get a date soon!

No he didnt send it registered mail. Now what do I do. And who should I call to bug and find out what is going on. Since he didnt put any date he would travel cause think he forgot to do that and didnt see where you could. My noa2 expires in May do you think I will find out before then. I am extremely stressed out and I can tell my fiancee is too.

don't panic! if you call the embassy they will be able to tell you if they have received the paperwork or not. also, they will extend the date for the noa2 automatically if they need to so don't worry about that date. just check that they have received the package and sit tight. you can check with the department of state if the embassy has set up an interview, which saves money on the expensive embassy phone calls!

I called the embassy on tuesday paid my 16.00 for seven minutes of their time. They told me to send an email gave me the code and say that it has been over 4 weeks since we sent it the packet 3. Been calling the dos almost everyday so going to make another phone call to them today tkeep checking. The email i sent on tuesday said when it came back it would take 3 to 4 days to respond. I really hope they find that paperwork since he didnt sent it via register post. But i couldnt see why if we didnt sent it that way that it still wont get there. Im just getting nervous and worried. Hope I hear something soon.

well, it is possible that it didn't arrive if it wasn't sent by registered post but i have also heard that they can lose things at the embassy too. try not to panic, this really isn't a big problem! did he make a copy of the forms before sending them in? the worst case scenario is that they have to be filled in again and resent. i hope they get back to you soon and let you know whether they have them or not! i know you must be frustrated about this but you're almost at the end of this part of your journey!

No he didnt make a copy which i told him too but I had downloaded the form and sent it to him and he printed it out and it is already to go if they cant find it. WHich this time I had him put a date of travel on there. And then he will send it out return receipt requested. That is another week I lost....
