As For mY Case STILL STUCK

WANT TO FLIP my K-3 Interview for my CR-1

but if it is still stuck where it is on the 28 I will go with the K-3 probably

even do I already paid some fee's

Or just give up the whole thing!!!

No, I didn't get an email saying my case was shipped to NVC, my case was just touched the day after the approvals email.

This forum has been the greatest help in expediting and learning about the whole USCIS and NVC process. (Prior to finding this, i have been talking to lawyers, families and friends who have been in this situation before with a very little help)

I have a question in reference to I-864 and DS 230 after I use the online bill payment. is there any dependency on DS-230 for I-864? (it doesn't seem that way from the NVC flowchart). Could I send DS-230 as soon as the barcode sheet is available via online payment method after my payment for IV bill is processed. (From looking at the other posts, this could be 2-3 days after mailing out my I-864)

Thanks everyone again on this forum (wish I knew about this forum when my sister did her processing for her husband. it is been a year and 10 months and still no visa for her husband, the US embassy in Islamabad asked him to wait 4-6 weeks after the interview, it's been over 9 weeks and no correspondence from them).

03-27-08 I-130 Approved (surprise of the year, with all the delays at USCIC)

03-31-08 NVC assigned Case #

04-21-08 Email/Choice of Agent accepted by NVC

04-22-08 Paid AOS bill online (Still haven't received the AOS bill in mail)

Future dates:-)

04-23-08 Submit AOS online

04-24-08 Pay IV bill Online

04-24-08 Submit DS-230 online

04-25-08 Case completed at NVC

Husbie and I would send both IV and AOS package today.. Hope that there would be no RFE.

Average time for a IR1 interview in Montreal is about 100 days after NVC ....but I figure I have waited this long, what is another 3 -4 months!

Thank Aruba, firstly as fed up as you are, you are almost there, don't throw it away, trust me it won't be worth it.

As for the link to the thread, I saw that thread last week, I don't understand how some people have gotten Interview dates for April when NVC says they only schedule interviews in the second week of the month. I will just keep calling everyday this week to see if they have assigned an interview date for my case.

I only got an e-mail stating it was sent to NVC because I sent a fed ex package that Thrusday afternnon pretty much whinning about how my petitions weren't approved... The typical whinning ... and That night I felt like an idiot because they sent me the approval notices at 8:01pm. So I spent $22.00 on an overnight express letter for nothing. But I guess it did make them e-mail me to tell me it was sent to NVC.... Maybe that was worth $22.00 LOL I will be calling everyday to get my case number.

YAYYYYYYYY Soooooo nice to FINALLY move on to the NVC thread. I have watched others create such a group and wondered when I get to do that as well... So we are finally here, after a long overdue approval of 230 day wait!! So glad the little group that I have come to love and feel a part of gets to move together . We now hope Jen and Mayra can join us here soon too!! Karma stars

So I talked to my lawyer and I was told that we have to wait for the written notice before sending any of the paperwork in. Do you have a lawyer or are u doing this on ur own? Since I have a lawyer, I believe I can skip the DS 3032 -agent of choice step, am I right?

My head is swimming right now. Online chatting with my husband since I got in from work. He is stil up at 2:45 a.m.!!! We are trying to figure out what forms to fill out and such. He will be getting his police certificate tomorrow. As for the affidavit of support and DS 230 all filled out already by our attorney's office. This is all so freakin' confusing!!

I wish there was some easy step to follow. The post many have posted including Aruba makes my head hurt more lol

So what is the first thing we need to do now??? I feel I can't even think straight!!

@@@ I called the NVC and AVR stated that they sent my documents to the embassy but no e mail from them. I will get their e-mail maybe Monday. I sent the BC from NSO because I got an RFE from them and telling me the same day that they got it in the package I sent previously, yes I did wasted $ 17.50 but at least I know they got copies of them...LOL!

I am going the CR1 route too. It will be less hassel once she get here. I got my NVC number like yesterday. Hope they will put in the case in their system by monday.

I received an e-mail from USCIS this morning saying my papers were sent to the NVC on March 6, 2009. HOpefully they will be there next week and then a quick trip to the consulate in Costa Rica.....

Jen My files were touched on the 6th as well....but I haven't rec'd any email stating that my file has been transferred.

I take it all of our files are in the same fedex envelope and will make it to NVC on monday....

If you call and get a Case number please email me....I will keep you posted as well
