My petitions were touched today. The congressman sent me an e-mail saying my petitions were approved and were sent to the NVC. Hopefully the VSC used fed ex to transport our files. They had all day today to travel. Hopefully Monday morning they will all be there. It is kinda cool that we all get to be here at the same time. It will be interesting to see what countries have thier Sh!t together. What number do I call to check and see if my package got there? The USCIS handed me some 60 day line of #######. I told her I am not waiting another 60 days. No freakin' way.

I am doing the K-3 for sure. I don't care about having to deal with immigration again. The important thing is that he will be here with me.

btw ... Ksenia and Sasha had their medical in Kiev today. Everything looks good ...

In Ukraine, you don't even need to wait for the packet. As long as you have a case number, you can do your medical right away. I found out about our approval from the NVC, not the CSC, with a letter that had our case number and telling us that our paperwork would be in Kiev within a week :)

Cool! Seems ur case is moving EXPRESS STYLE!! Excellent! Hope ours can get there as fast. The consulate in LB doesn't seem to require a packet 4, and we already have all the forms filled out for packet 3, so all we need is the medical as well and for the packet to be sent to the consulate there from NVC  OMGGGGG dare I get excited!! (HMM I think I will hold off till we get the CASE COMPLETE from NVC, I don't want to jinx us!! )

OOHHHHHH SO THAT"S WHY MINE REFELECTED A TOUCH FROM MARCH 6TH AS WELL!! YAYYYYYYY... HOW NICE..HA HA THAT MEANS WE GET TO BUG NVC TOGETHER! LOL ...THEY CAN'T ESCAPE US

DEFINITELY K3 (though if I had it my way I would prefer he entered with the CR1 but too risky and might drag longer). So the easier route upfront it is. Things can get as complicated as they want once we're together but at least we will be holding each other's hands in the journey ahead (or jumping at each other's throats ) as opposed to going to sleep in separate beds miles away...

Cool! Seems ur case is moving EXPRESS STYLE!!

What's cool about Ukraine is that you don't have to send anything in and then wait until you schedule your interview! Basically, as soon as you have the necessary paperwork filled out, you can schedule your appointment. So even if you are still putting things together, you can schedule your interview anyway ... the Embassy doesn't know if your done with your forms or not :P

You just have to make sure you have everything by the time you go to the interview. Ksenia downloaded everything she needs from the Embassy website and has her stuff done already! I'm calling Monday to try and get our appointment ... our case should be in Kiev by then

ok, Question..

I just talked to the USCIS. I was asking about time frames... The rep told me since my CR1 and my K-3 were approved at the same time the CR1 voids the K-3. I never heard that before. I was hoping to go the K-3 route but she said I have to go the CR1 route. I think she was talking sh!t because I never heard that. And tons of people are going the K-3 route with both approvals.... What do you think???

Haven't we learned anything???!!! USCIS rep don't know if they are coming or going

Queue - Can you shed some light on NBI clearance??

Seren, I just woke up.. NBI clearance is the same as police clearance.. NBI is a counterpart of FBI in Manila.. Usually, if you are travelling abroad, companies are requiring NBI clearance although we could get the usual Police Clearance in our local police stations.. :)

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

Q, Are u following CR 1 route? I believe you mentioned that some place? If not, how come u do not have an interview date for K 3 yet? Did you cancel your K3? If so, how did u go about cancelling it? I just can't wait till our file leaves NVC to the consulate in LB. Till then I will be tossing and turning many a nights, nervously awaiting...

We are definitely pursuing K3 for faster reunification. But say my husband went to his K3 interview and got the visa in hand, is it too late to then also wait there and go back for a CR1 interview? Or does getting the K3 visa automatically hold the paperwork for CR1 in the US and NVC would then scratch the case once we adjust status upon his entry to America??? I guess what I am trying to ask is what happens to I 130 approval/processing once u get ur K3 visa in hand. Not sure I am making much sense. So many questions and so many things still left to figure out as we move on to the next step.

GS - I am following the CR-1 route. I decided not to bother with the K-3, because my wife has exams at the end of this month, and beginning of April, so I had time to get through the paperwork and just go the CR-1 route. I just never sent in the packet 3 information to the consulate, nor did my wife receive the packet 3 in the mail.

Yes, once you get the K-3, you can go back and get the CR-1 visa. But then you are paying double the fees, as your will pay for your affadavit of support to do the CR-1 and the K-3, same applies for the Visa application.

Thank u, Q. I rmb now abt your decision cz of ur wife's examns. Thank u, Q. I rmb now abt your decision cz of ur wife's examns. As usual u r indeed quite the guru of our group B) Okay so since we have made up our minds to follow the K3, do we still pay the AOS bill and send the CR1 docs to NVC or do we simply do all of that once hubby enters the US and we then simply adjust status??

Since you are following the K-3, you will have to submit the packet 3 at your consulate once your I-129F is sent to the consulate. You will then get an interview date, and then be required to submit the Affadavit of Support and DS-230 before or the day of the interview, depending on your consulates procedures. Only pay the AOS bill at NVC if you are going to go back for the CR-1 interview, otherwise don't.

AJAYC, nice of you to join us here. Did you and Q also get such email from VSC that the case was sent to NVC? I didn't get any email. So I'm now wondering what this means.

Jen congrats! Isn't it nice to know K3 moves so fast and will soon be at the embassy, provided nothing jinxes us along the way? I think karma stars are in order here :star::star::star::star: for a smooth sailing to consulate and securing interview dates soon so we can start our backward countdown to INTEVIEW DAY tickers/thread!
