I spoke to a representative last night... and they still have not received our case at the NVC. It has been almost two and a half weeks. The rep told me to call back in a week.

I was hoping for some better news going into the weekend, but oh well.

That sucks! I know how u feel. After approval the excitement is short lived b/c NVC being slow puts a damper on things. I hope u get some progress come Monday. But yeah I wouldn't depend on that whole "week" or "2 weeks" standard response. They told me the same thing when I called to see if they had input my AOS/DS 230 into their system and they kept telling me it takes 2-4 weeks, call back after 2 weeks. Of course I called every day and what do u know, yesterday they told me the review started after only 4 days not 2 weeks as they claimed. Do they really think we will wait 2 weeks after waiting 230 days @ USCIS?? I have come to believe they are probably pressured to keep the phone calls down and are encouraged to ask us to wait by their supervisors.

I can totally imagine ur frustration!! I would be going out of mind as well!! Hang in there, this too shall get fixed!!

I think that they are just receiving a lot more phone calls due to the recent flood of approvals from the service centers. Hang in there!!!

I just received an email 10 mins from NVC ago regarding my DS3032 form.

I want the IV Bill Fee now....

yes i paid it just 15 mins ago.. coz its available online after i received an email from them saying:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated agent (petitioner) on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions before the instruction packet will be sent.

Even though the online system shows it available to be paid, you need to confirm with an NVC operator that the bill has been generated, before paying this bill. There are two systems, and if you pay the bill before the bill is generated it throws the two systems out of synch.

Notice the words I have underlined in the sentence "The Immigrant Visa Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated agent (petitioner) on the case."

This is a common place where people are getting tripped up. I suggest you call NVC and find out if the bill has been generated.

Uhm ok ok i will call them. operators are easy to talk every 7:30 my time (7:30am their time).

It's 4:00am here so its 4:00pm their time. Is it hard to look for an operator at this time?

There is probably a 10 to 15 minute wait around this time and the NVC number is busy, I just checked. Call them in a few hours.
