Finally Rec'd an email today from NVC stating that my choice of agent has been accepted and the IV bill will be generated and sent to the designated agent on the case.

Seren how long did that take, cuase I'm still waiting for them to received mine, still patiently waiting.

I have my I-184 ready to mail today.. finally my recipt is ready today so, I gots to send it in....

hopefully I will get an email this week about the agent form.

How long are things taking from when we mail our DS-230 until case completion these days? And how long are they taking to forward the info to the consulate. I know things were a little slower recently...

Hi all,

Our AOS and IV packets were received and signed for by PEARSE @ NVC this morning at 9:18 (Candid this is the same person who signed for urs, I am hoping his signature brings us luck like it did u ) Now we wait for the packet to be scanned and show up in the system so that the review can begin. Judging from recent timelines of VJers who got their case completed in March, it is taking a few days for the packets to be scanned into the NVC system once NVC receives them and another 10-13 days for case complete. So if my calculations are right and no RFEs, our packets should be scanned b/w Wed-Fri of this week and our case complete by mid April at the latest provided no more bumps.

I also noticed it's another week (give or take 7 days) for case to be forwaded to consulte upon completion.

BTW, both our bills reflect as PAID today on the website. It seemed the glitch was finally fixed I am wondering if them receiving our cover sheets had anything to do with it (but I doubt it since they haven't even scanned us into the system yet).

Now that it was accepted they should send you the IV bill. "SUPPOSEDLY" the system will automatically generate the IV Bill, so you can start calling and asking for the IV bill and don't forget that after you receive the IV bill you MUST confirm it at least twice with a NVC's operator.

GS4EVER, please let me know as soon as you get your forms accepted. I've just sent the DS-230 and will be at NVC by tomorrow morning. So you are only one day in front of me . Now is our time to relax and wait for NVC to approve our petitions. When do you think they will schedule a interview for you, May or June?

Thanks for the TIP JAVC. After all the horror stories I have been hearing about the IV bill will confirm and reconfirm before we pay it online.

I was just wondering about u and if ur fee now finally shows as paid. I will most certainly keep u guys updated. Also watch my siggy..Still missing 3 important updates and can't wait till I can fill them all up!

As for ur q abt the interview month, hubby's consulate is not crownded so we are still hoping for a May interview, but who knows....it all depends on how fast our case will be completed at NVC. Now I am hoping they won't issue an RFE asking for 2008 taxes us being so close to the deadline. I have yet to file mine and don't plan on doing so until last minute as I owe them close to a grand this year

I've just called NVC to confirm that date for you, in my case it was reviewed and accepted on 03-19-09. So was 7 days including weekends. Hope this will give you an idea.

Thanks for the headsup, Seren . I was already aware of that when I read the posts about taxes being an issue at interview a couple of months ago. Saw this person's post earlier today and felt so bad for them Responded to this in our weekly thread. I am waiting to see how this will play out at the NVC level. When I called them last week and asked if they would want me to send my 2008 taxes they said it's fine to send in 2007 since the April 15th deadline has not yet passed, but I won't be too surprised if they RFE saying they want to see the '08 one. I won't be filing for another week or so and am hoping my case complete occurs before then, cz if that were to happen, then all I have to do is send hubby copy of my complete '08 return so he can bring to interview. So hoping NVC won't request, but then again anything is possible!

Hope u hear ur good news from them soon . I don't think there will be much activity for me till our case review starts and I don't think that's gonna happen till Friday this week. So more chilling and stepping back and simply watching the clock tick, tick, tick....

Yes, finally!!!. I had problems with the online payment system as well. When I was trying to pay the IV bill on thursday it crash on me and shown a message saying "payment transaction failed because the payment system is not available. Please try again later." , but it was showing the bill as IN PROCESS, so I called NVC and they told me that they couldn't do anything about it, so I had to wait until the system reject my payment. I wait until friday to pay again and now everything is OK. I confirmed it 3 times today just to be complete sure before mailing the DS-230.

Yes, finally!!!. I had problems with the online payment system as well. No, I didn't. I decided to pass since NVC operator told me if they receive the papers before April 15th it won't be an issue. Besides, I didn't really have a reason why I didn't file other than I owe money and I still am saving to be able to pay the owed money when I file ..Once again, it's not like I made a fortune so why I owe is beside me!! Hope they won't RFE me for that. They can't force us to file if the deadline has not passed unless the case review is not done by April 15th then I think it will be an issue. I am crossing my fingers for this one for as I said before u never know with them!! But if they do request it, it's no biggie since I have to file in the next 15 days either way. I will run to my accountant as soon as I hear the news and overnite it to them immediately lol You can be sure I will be calling them every day asking if there are any RFEs and won't be waiting for the notification to come from their end.

Hmmmm...this makes me wonder. When they issue an RFE and if u catch it immediately by calling, can u send the requested docs right away or do u have to wait for that checklist they need to send u and include it with the requested RFE?

You will need to wait for the letter. See below body of letter of the "False RFE" that I received about the missing DS-230.

We have reviewed the documents which you submitted in support of an application for an immigrant

which are indicated as missing or need additional information. You must submit the required

information. Failure to provide the requested information will delay your immigrant visa interview.

334-0700 between the hours of 7:30am and midnight ET.

Please include a copy of this letter with your correspondence and write your case number clearly (exactly

submitted fees and documents will expire. Upon expiration, the fees and documents would need to

You need to send a copy of the letter including the page with the barcode.

NVC is really slowing down because of that system change. It is a good thing that they accepted your choice of agent (after ages that they kept you waiting ). Your IV bill and package would follow. You might finish your NVC stage before the 2nd week of April.. Goodluck Seren!

I really do hope so Candid...other members from MOntreal consulate finally got interview dates today they range from 70-90 days after NVC completion.
