Can you explain what exactly happended to you? I know you explained it before but I can't find where exactly.

This is my problem... Today I checked the NVC payment center (online account) and it shows the IV bill as NOT PAYED. So in other words I need to pay it. I remmember something that you said about confirm it with NVC before paying it so, following the advise I called the NVC and they told me that the bill wasn't ready yet. I don't understand why they give you the option to pay the bill online when it actually is not ready yet.

Can somebody explain??

JAVC, please explain what you mean on your timeline where it says:

"03-19-09 - IV bill can be payed online but NVC hasn't generated the bill" Did you get an email like I did from NVC telling you the bill is now ready to be paid with instructions on how to pay it online?

I was under the impression that once the bill is available to be paid online it means it's been generated! Q, jump in please

There are two systems at NVC. One system may show that the bill can be paid, however if you pay it before the second system generates the bill, the second system doesnt get updated. If this happens you end up in Limbo land until a supervisor can get the payment issue corrected.

Javc, you have to confirm that the IV Bill has been generated. Once the DS-3032 is accepted the first system shows the status as not paid, but the second system has not sent out the bill yet. IF you cannot confirm that the bill has been generated and sent, DO NOT pay the bill, you will end up with your payment status showing as paid in one system and not paid in another. The two systems are separate but synch up, if they don't synch up you will have to get a supervisor involved.

Hi Guys I am just finding out about this website from my cousin and what a great place it is. There is ton of good info here to help people like me who has relatively no idea about what to do. I appreciate all the information on this forum.

I have couple of questions?

1. My wife is In INDIA (going to BOMBAT consulate) so how much or untll what part my paperwork is completed in US and when does the application go to INDIA?

2. For IV package do I need to send the original passport and original marriage certificate or just copies will do? if I do send the passport then when do I get her passport back?

3. When can the madical be done?

4. Any other tips you could give me to help me along the process?

Also, How much time would it take from now to get the interview date in India on average? How much time after the interview date? Thanks guys.

Q and JAVC did you guys both get the email letting you know the bills are ready? I got the combo email which I think came from the new system, so I think they are doing things differently now, as opposed to paying the two bills separately now they are both comined. But I am thinking maybe this only applies to me since I have a lawyer and can therefore skip the whole DS 3032 step. You should call NVC and find out what the deal is. I think I will call them right now just to make sure about this whole 2 system thing.

i called and they said it had been generated go a head and paid it, but it turned out the bill was never generated

and i was landed in limbo, bill is fixed now but due to that i am still at nvc limbo

so double check with more then one operator before you pay it

and yeah the systems are 2 diffrent systems and not meeting up with each other

So Aruba, u never got an email instructing to u to pay online like I have including attachments with the Invoice number and everything? I was able to log onto my online account and not only does it show it's paid, I can even get to print the cover sheets and follow the instructions for the forms, etc. Did that happen w/u initially? Were u able to see and print the cover sheet and then still were stuck in limbo b/w the 2 systems? The operator told me I should be fine but I am not worried that maybe same thing that happened to u might happen to me.

What about u guys, Q and JAVC? HELP!

I got a lady on the phone, my case is still waiting to be reviewed

they can see i send two packages but not what they are even

so that is not so good

But 1 my cr-1 cannot cancel my K-3

after I entered the US with K-3 I can get out got to the interview outside the US and get CR-1 instead of Adjustment of status

so that will skip the $1010 for adjustment of status

SO I FEEL BETTER NOW!

GS4Ever since you have a lawyer the DS-3032 step is skipped, your bills were generated and paid. Call NVC and ask the operator the status of your case, the operator will tell you if both bills have been paid. After my bills were paid I was able to download the respective barcode cover sheets and mail in my packages.

I wish I could do the same but plane ticket from Manila to JFK is soooo expensive. It is more than the $1010 AOS thingy..
