Hey, am I allowed to join this thread even though im done with NVC????

Firs things first, start collecting documents for the AOS, download the DS-230 and start filling it out, and start calling the NVC to get your case number. After you get your case number, 2-3 days later your AOS bill and DS-3032 will be generated and mailed out. Once you get that status, email the ds-3032 from the beneficiary's email account. By then you should receive your AOS bill, so you will have your IIN, try to pay your AOS bill using the online system. Paying by check creates delays. Now if your DS-3032 has been generated, wait until an operator can confirm that your IV bill has been generated, once u get the confirmation, check again with another operator. If confirmed pay your IV Bill. Once both AOS and IV bill show a status of paid, print out the respective bar code cover sheets, and mail in your AOS and IV packages, then you wait for the magic words of case complete.

Now if you decided to go the K-3 route, then you have to follow the instructions of your specific embassy, but the documents you would have prepared will be required in any case. While the DS-230 remains the same, the AOS will require a different form than the I-864.

Thanks Q! Already ahead of the game with the I 864 and DS 230 filled out. IF I have a lawyer though, isn't it true I can skip the DS-3032?? So what is my first step in this case?

BTW guys, for those of you approved today, any idea if your K3 is approved as well? My portfolio still does not show K3 approval but my lawyer swears it is! Checked some sort of website (not sure what he is talking abt since my portfolio only shows I130 approval)...

Dumb question - Do I email a scanned & signed copy of DS-3032 or Do I send a text version of the DS-3032

Where can I get an email version of DS - 3032?? Please advise

I can't tell you how depressed I was. I watched all my friends get approved this morning. and then when I came home form the grocery store I checked my e-mail and there was my approval. It came in at 8:01 pm. SO much for the fed ex over night package pretty much whinning about why Im not approved yet. My luck, they'll take the approval back....LOL

And I can't even call Tucho because he is in the Jungle until tomorrow. No phone service there

I got approved Feb 26 for both I-130 & K-3 :)

I talked to NVC today cuz i was confused why they dont have my K3 on the automated service, they said my K3 left NVC on March 3 to my consulate. woohoo. But I asked them about my CR-1 and they said they just got on it on Tuesday (due to Snow Storm) so they said they will send me an email soon. i dont know. Im just hoping my CR-1 is faster than K3. *crosses fingers*

I can imagine the agony you went through all day long! But in the end, glad it paid off when u least expected No more running to Philly for an info pass lol and hopefully no more freakin' parking tickets

COOLLLLLLLLL!!! I can't wait to get to that stage and skip all this NVC hocus pocus Hey, but I won't complain and will keep it positive. It's been a good day and I should be thankful to move on.

My lawyer said our K3 was approved and my husband wants the fastest way that will get him here, so K3 it is for us. But I have yet to see the K3 approval in my portfolio. No idea where my lawyer got that from.... How did u know abt urs? Email or USCIS website/portfolio?
