We are doing the nvc process too and just recieved the nvc case # yesterday. Currently we have all the docs & photocopies for I-864 and DS-230 ready. I have two dumb questions  , Is it a good idea to put the nvc case number (rubber stamp) at the top of all originals and photocopies? Is it required to put my name & nvc# at the back of the passport size photos (back side is glossy so cant write with a pencil ..not sure if its a good idea to write with a pen)? :help:

Is not required but is recommended for your own safety. Let say for example the person that is reviewing your AOS, who has also more AOS application waiting to be reviewed on his/her desk, knock down all those documents from his/her desk to the floor (by mistake of course). Do you really think they will know what paper belongs to you? Well, maybe they do but I will not trust in them. So for our own safety I think is better to put at least the NVC case number at the top right corner of ALL paper, originals and copies.

I agree, take the time to write the case number on all pages in the AOS package. I used a blue ballpoint pen for the back of the photographs, and wrote the name, case number, and dob very lightly. You do not want to see the text imprint on the actual photo.

Thanks! JAVC & queuedup. I have written my name & nvc case# on a small 2 inch postix and put it behind the photos.. afraid of the impressions from the pen. ;)

Jen, try calling right now. It's evening and they know something new. Maybe they finally finished picking up the scattered papers off of the highway and urs was the last one they found hanging off a tree on ROUTE VSC/NVC exit  Sorry I know it's not funny, just a little immigration sarcasm/humor.

I do agree.. We received an e-mail from NVC attorney with AOS/IV bill attachment on 3rd of March. We payed on the 4th. Then again we received exactly the same e-mail from NVC attorney last 9th. However, we also received an e-mail from another NVC address, that our bills were payed on 4th. It is quite confusing. I called NVC and the representative told me to ignore the 2nd e-mail from NVC attorney instead.
