You can do it. Check out this site. http://forum.desktopreview.com/index.php Lots of good info. If you can hold off for a while, I think it would be worth waiting for Windows 7 instead of getting Vista now. Windows 7 is getting good reviews for the beta.

You better wait with the download, i installed it and had problems with most of the stuff, couldnt use the webcam and the voice wasnt good either, plus has some annoying bugs so you better think twice if you want to use :) its true its better than vista but when they complete it it will work perfect

Windows 7 will allow you the option of disabling completely IE so if you want to use another browser, it will not be a nuisance to keep it as default. They're releasing a version designed specifically for netbooks too.

From the latest build of the OS, I can tell you that the system resource it use is no where close to VISTA. In fact, I ran it with only 512 MB system RAM and 8 MB Video RAM. In other words, current prebuild machines that are bought has about 2 GB of system RAM and 128 MB Video Memory.

It was running smoothly for me. From other tester comments, I can tell surely that they were happy with it from their initial test.
