Just wondering if anyone's petition has been touched after recently being transferred to CSC. My case file was transferred on Feb. 25, 2009 and then touched on the 27th. Nothing since then.

I was watching Bill Mahr last Friday and the British actor Alan Cummings was a guest. He proudly declared that he was a new American citizen to which Bill Mahr replied, "Doesn't it fell like you're jumping onto a sinking ship?" I haven't said that to any American friends (especially not my husband) but it sure feels that way lately! Anyone else feeling a little less than enthusiastic about becoming a citizen than when they started the immigration process? (Please don't anybody tell me to go back to Canada. I'm not going anywhere, I'm just saying...the state of the union is sooo bloody depressing).

Hmmm not really, if I apply for citizenship it won't be 'cus of the "american dream", just for practical reasons in living here in Puerto Rico and back in Brasil with my husband whenever we want.

We did pick his country (PR) as opposed to mine (Brasil) thinking the economy here might be better and 'cus he wanted to support me starting our lives together and not the other way around, but we're starting to wonder whether we'd be better off living back in my country.

The whole world is sinking, much worse than the US in most cases.
