First of all for all those Fathers here on VJ... a warm happy Fathers day to you ..

For the past few years my daughters have chosen to celebrate "Fathers day" ... they both know my situation with Jan.. and how he is so untouchable... The Movie choice this year... choice of the day.. turned out to be.. The Lake House. (Warner Bros movie) . "How do you hold onto someone you've never met?" staring ..Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock ...

Let me tell you if you are feeling apart from you loved one.. .. or are in need of a good love story... or in need of a good cry or... just want to go and feel warm fuzzies... .. see it..

They are together.. two years apart... in love.. with no way to meet.. but can they?

SEE IT... .. .. and if you have.. .. what was your favorite part..

Mine... close to the end... when he said... we'll be together in two year... wait for me..

a phrase I have heard many time in these past weeks... .. and Im sure many of us have as well.. and of course understand what it is like .. being apart from the ones we love...

enjoy

Love isn't love unless it is expressed;

caring isn't caring unless the other person knows;

sharing isn't sharing unless the other person is included

I went to see it the other day by myself (needed to get out or ring James' neck :P plus its a chick flick that he didn't want to see anyhow)

I loved it, and will buy it when its released on DVD. They work well together I think, and the story is pretty good.

Favourite scene is when they're both standing at the mail box, watching the flag go up and down :lol:

Least favourite scene is when I realized who it was that had got hit by the bus. But I was certainly happy that it was later resolved :yes:

Its a nice date movie, the younger couples that were there, the Men were the ones cheering at then end rather than the women. It was kinda funny.

I kept thinking why didn't he just go to the hospital where she was working at the time. They'd already messed up the space/time continuum anyhow...

Least favourite scene is when I realized who it was that had got hit by the bus. But I was certainly happy that it was later resolved :yes:

I guessed that would happen. The whole 2 years apart thing sort of implies that someone has to be dead or vegetative or something.

Although vegetative pretty much describes Keanu Reeves entire career. I'll never forget how he single-handedly ruined Dracula with his atrocious attempt at an English accent.
