what if we move to another states after filing I-485

I am planning to file for AOS after we get married on July 15th. We will have to move from Washington DC to Tenessee (TN) by the end of Septmeber. I am worried that the local USCIS office will be different in TN. What would be the best way to file this? Would we allow to change address during the process?

any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

You can always change your address by filing AR-11 & Form I-864 & to make sure call the USCIS too. It happened to us for my I-130 and we did everything still we been to a lot of problems (their fault not ours). just a suggestion, if you already know your address in TN use that instead or you can also wait till you move. Good luck! ;)

yeap, the immigrant half of you needs to complete form AR-11 and send that. When we did ours I sent it to Kentucky as required, and also sent a copy to the district office where my AOS was being processed (we just moved down the street, ddn't change districts). And the USC half of you needs to send form I-865 to the district office where your applications are currently, and probably a good idea to send a copy with cover letter to your New district office in TN.

A couple weeks after you send them, phone USCIS mis-information to find out if it was recieved and in fact updated. They sometimes lose things and forget.

AR-11 needs to be sent within 10 days of the immigrant move. I-865 needs to be sent within 30 days of the move, but make sure that it gets completed with USCIS! There is a monetary fine to the USC if they do not notify USCIS that they've moved! Always follow up to be sure.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
