My friends just had their interview in Atlanta today. They had submitted I-130 and I-485 together since she was on a student visa prior to that.

They didn't have enough evidence of joint living together (like bills etc.) and the interviewer said that he is approving their I-130 petition, but they will be informed by mail about the further decision. What do you guys think that means? Does anyone have a similar experience?

SOunds like he agrees that the petitioner is a USC and that there is a marriage that give the basis for the USC to apply for permanent residency... However, it appears that he is not convinced on the genuine nature of the relationship. I would expect an RFE for more evidence of a shared life or a second interview...

I agree start getting together more information i.e. open bank account together, more pictures, leases, etc. :yes:

Its funny how some people go to Atlanta and do not get asked for any proof, and others get asked for tons of proof.

They didnt ask us for any proof of living together at out interview. They only wanted our 2005 taxes and that was it. As we were sitting there, I could here everyone beside us getting asked for all this proof.

Do you think it depends on the Country people come from?

I cant figure this system out for the life of me.

Should be the same for everyone.

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

yeap.. it's weird. And the funny part is that they had pictures with them, but they didn't want to see pictures.
