Other Country Police Certificate/Good Conduct Certificate

Hi, I just want to ask anyone here who have obtained a Good Conduct Certificate (GCC) from other country where they have lived before. In my case, I got my GCC from Bahrain where I used to work in 2002-2004 and my problem right now is its validity. I never knew that its validity was only 3 mons and i got it issued last Oct '08 and so from that date, it will be valid till Jan '09. I am thinking if i would reapply for the GCC or not? I want to know if anyone have tried presenting their GCC which have already expired. Did you reapply? Or the consult just accepted it even if it's expired already. I'm afraid this would cause a delay on my K1 visa approval.

Some consulates consider police certs valid 6 months to a year even if they expire within 3 months.
