My wife will get her Advanced Parole next month.

She is pregnant and she is really missing her family (you know, those hormone things).

Can she safely go for 2 months and come back for the interview?

Did anybody used that?

YES AP is valid for 1 year, no restriction on length of stay outside the USA, just do not remain outside the USA longer than the validity of the AP doc.

One note, IF overstayed a visa to the USA, the POE may block re-entry even though has AP doc.

Moving to work/travel prior to green-card.

Just something I thought of.

It's not a great idea to miss an AOS interview (many here will say you can't miss it). Be cautious in case her AOS interview is scheduled during or near to her 3rd trimester when she'll may be unable to fly back to the states.

And if you read these forums, you'll find the case of a woman that missed her AOS appointment cause she missed her flight, and of course, she had scheduled the flight of return too close to the AOS.... So make sure you plan the return flight with plenty of time to get back to the states!

My husband just returned from Iran using his AP. His green card is still pending with no interview date yet. Although he had a horrible experience in Chicago coming in with his K-1 visa, we routed him through Detroit this time and he went through with his passport (Iran) and AP papers with no problems, no questions, all good.

I would advise not missing the AOS interview but it is possible to have it rescheduled although they may really question as to why she missed it.
