When to pay VFS fees in India

Folks my wife went to Chandigarh for her medical and VFS fees on March 4. VFS told her since your interview is on March 31 it is too early to pay the fees. She was told to come back next day. Someone at the Apollo clinic where she has her medical exam told my wife that VFS accepts courier fees between 15 and 3 days prior to the interview date.

Does anyone know about this. Please share your experience and knowledge.

As the packet 3 mentions, VFS will accept the courier fees precisely between 7 - 10 'business' days. Please discount weekends and holidays from this number.

Your wife should submit VFS courier fee and required documents 7-10 working days exculding holidays prior to interview date. So, tell your wife to go back around march 16 o1 17. My wife is also planning to do the same since her interview is on march 30th.

Also if you are submitting your documents at VFS Calcutta it would be 15 working days prior to the interview

Your wife can go to Ahemdabad VFS office. My wife is in fact from Jammu but she is visiting her sister in Shimla at present. Since chandigarh is close to Shimla that's why she went to Chandigarh for her medical and VFS.
