Okay so here is our story. We checked off we have our medical b/c we were goign to get in a week before in Joburg and we thought there wasn't a doctor in Cape Town so guess what there is. So now we have no medical and an interview date for Mon 9th. I called yesterday and they said call them after the medical, now they send an email that says we have a date. WHAT DO I DO??? I AM SICK and have no one to talk to. I feel like this is my fault, what are the chances they'll reschedule him?

If worry so much ,Can't u go get the Medical exam at Joburg this weekened? Or have to have an appointment?

U could Email/call the Emabassy and tell them abt the situation.

There is 100% the Embassy will reschedule him. But it could be either next month or after next month.

So let me get this straight...you sent in the checklist stating that you were ready for an interview, but you did not have a medical, and now you have an interview on March 9, but no time to do the medical?

Well, you should not have sent in the checklist if you were not prepared for the interview. I know that the waiting is painful and you want to be together as soon as possible, but doing things like this is just careless and may delay things even longer.

You still need to attend the interview, medical or not. At that time they may reschedule the interview to a time when you can have the medical done and come back for another interview. At the same time, they may just do the interview, but hold the visa until the medical is completed and the results sent to the embassy.

I don't know what to do? Do we go to the interview with no medical? The problem is I talked to our case worker and he is not very happy and now I feel like we are screwed and I did this by checking medical. I don't know what to do? I am so upset and irrational right now. I feel like they aren't going to reschedule even though they said they would.

Yes I did. So you think we go to the interview regardless? WOn't they just deny us for no medical? I feel this is all my fault a careless mistake.

READ IT AGAIN.

They are NOT going to deny you for no medical. They will DELAY issuing the visa UNTIL they receive the results of the medical.

OR

They will reschedule your interview to a later date to give you time to do the medical.

nobody here can tell you what to do other than make suggestions.... only the consulate can exactly what to do .....

For the third time: GO TO THE INTERVIEW WITHOUT THE MEDICAL.

They will deal with it at that time and give you your options.
