HELLO ALL! OBVIOUSLY IM A NEW MEMBER HERE. I'M THE FIANCE OF A USC. I JOINED SOLELY FOR THE REASON OF KNOWING THE PROGRESS AND UPDATES OF OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER 2009 K1 FILERS.

I KNOW ANYONE CAN RELATE TO MY FEELING OF BEING PARANOID ABOUT THIS WHOLE DIRE THING(ATLEAST FOR ME). I HAVE BEEN READING POSTS HERE FOR QUITE SOMETIME AND I NOTICED THAT SOME NOVEMBER FILERS GOT THEIRS APPROVED ALREADY. WE FILED IN OCT. 29, '09, REQUESTED FOR AN EXPEDITE PROCESS, GOT DENIED AND I WONDER IF IT HAD BEEN PUSHED FURTHER. I KNOW THIS WOULDNT BE THE RIGHT PLACE TO CONFIRM SUCH, BUT IM HOPING I COULD GET SOME ANSWER.

TIMELINE

OCT. 27, '08 - FILED FOR FIANCE PETITION @ VC

OCT. 29, 08 - NO1 HARD COPY RECEIVED

SINCE THEN TIL NOW (MARCH 5, 09) - WAITING, WAITING AND WAITING...

count me in,im october filers too,got a NOA1 last october 10 2008.then untill now im still waiting and waiting.....im getting crazy here too coz some of my friends here in vj that same filers of mine there already approve.. and i hope we be the next one..God luck for both of us..

Moved to the K1 case filing & updates forum, as it's where it belongs.

Well guess what?!?!?!? We got approved yesterday!...Checked my case online and confirmed! Couldn't sleep and didnt want to, i might wake up the next day and realize its all just a dream. But i went to sleep @ 2 am and got up today happy! ITS TRUE!

Now the ordeal of dealing with details on how to get through the interview starts today.

TIMELINE:

Oct. 27, '09-mailed petition

Oct. 29, '09 - NOA1 received

--------- no touches whatsoever, just prayed and kept faith strong!

March 4, '09 - NOA2 received.

Another Oct filer here (beneficiary not petitioner) ... Im waiting for my interview date now .. Im making myself sick! worrying and constantly thinking about it ... I need to keep busy so Ive started sorting and cleaning and packing, anything to keep me occupied before I go mental with the waiting!

Next step after the NOA2 is getting NVC notification that the file has been sent of to the Fiance(e's) embassy ... then the fiance will receive the pack 3 directions ... Youll save heaps of time if your fiance start getting all the requirements ready now and then mail when they've done the medical and police check, youll also need to get the Affidavit of support ready for her/him ... you can look at the forms by clicking on Downloads at the top of this page also look at Example Forms, they help heaps when your filling in the forms ...

Well, i already have almost everything prepared, one thing that's lacking is the affidavit of support which we're working on and i'll probably have it in a week time. all smiles!
