Hi i was wondering if anyone know who to call and which number to call if your case has gone over the processing time of 6 months????

I read somewhere you should call and ask them to expedite the case, when my husband tried to call he just got an automated system.

Help would be appreciated

Thanks

You may try calling their 800 number, but it's no help. Have your hubby contact the local congressman and ask them to take this up with USCIS. The congressman's office have a direct hook up with them.

CJ is correct, you can try calling the 800 number, listen to the status of your case, and then there is an option to have you address corrected. If you chose that option you will get someone on the phone, and you can play dumb and ask the status of your case and take it from there. If you are out of the normal processing times, send a note to your congressman and senators asking them to put in an inquiry.

Other option other than contacting 800 number or your congressman, you can make Info pass appointment as well. Hope this helps.

there is a prompt on the automated system "if you believe your case is outside the normal processing times" He can follow that to speak to an operator. Escalate the call if he doesnt get the expedite.

Involve the congressman also

Good Luck

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Your elected congressmen are there to help you in situation like this so just write a detailed letter explaining your situation and email, mail, and fax it to them. Goodluck.

Contrary to popular belief, the Congressman, Senator, Paperboy, Refuge Collector can do NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING. They can call or look up the info on line and they get the same result as you do when you look up your case on the internet. I have been there done that, expidite and all. These people at USCIS have their own little kingdom and they are not penetrable from any normal person like us. Good Luck to you.
