Hello all,

This is my first time posting so I don't know if I'm doing this right. I just found out that my fiance's mom's name is spelled differently on her birth certificate from what she thought. When I applied I put her name ending with an "e" when there is not an "e" at the end of her name on her birth certificate. Will this be a problem? Do I need to notify anyone? I'm still waiting to get my NOA2 from Vermont. I just looked and on my fiance's birth certificate his mom's name is spelled with an "e" at the end, which is what I put. Should I just leave it and see if I get asked about it?

Thanks!!

Did you submit the mother's birth certificate???????? No. USCIS will not have a clue there is a mistake. If you wish, mention it at the interview and they may, or may not, change it.

My fiancee's parent's don't even have birth certificates. In which case, there is no way for USCIS to verify that I have spelled my fiancee's parent's names correctly. I'm fairly new to this process, but I doubt USCIS cares about the spelling of your fiance's parent's names. I wouldn't worry about it.

My fiancee's parents spell their names with the Cyrillic alphabet and the forms do not ask me to spell them in their native alphabet, as they do with the fiancee. So I guarantee they were spelled wrong on the G-325
