most people do, Laura. I can give u an example, pineapple and yogurt for breakfast, lean cuisine (no time for real meal) for lunch, followed by several snacks during the afternoon, cereal bar with fiber, oatmeal, cheese string, etc, then at night i have a vegetable soup with like 6 types of different vegetables, a glass of milk before bed, a pbj sandwich if i'm still hungry, still it is possible i didn't have the amount of fiber necessary.

You don't like fruit and vegetables?

I love fruits, I don't all veggies but eat some, but I've tracked my nutrition eating for a while and even with fruits and veggies and whole grains in my diet reaching the fiber recommendation is not THAT easy.

My sin is called carbs (bread and pasta).

Beans - Jasman is right.

If you choose a brown bread, particularly with added bran, that will boost you up, but a cup of beans will give you almost all your daily recommended amount in one go, magic beans is the answer :)

Figs and broccoli are good too.

If you like cereal for breakfast, or even if you can get used to the idea of cereal for breakfast, there are a lot of those that are high fiber.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I must say I worry more about cals than about fiber. I do eat some brocoli from time to time and cereal sometimes but am not a huge cereal for breakfast person ( I like fresh fruit and maybe bread and butter in the morning, typical brazilian breakfast). Also am not a huge bean person, although I like it in salads.

It seems 22 grams of fiber per day is recommended but if you don't like or don't eat beans/peas regularly, that can be tough to achieve. However, 3 dried figs is 10.5g fiber for 120 calories, which is not bad for half your fiber for the day. Choosing the highest fiber fruits is probably going to be key. Pineapple or grapefruit for example has very little (less than a gram which is surprising) while raspberries have quite a lot (4.6g). Strawberries have 3g of fiber for every 45 calories consumed as well.

If you can change your bread to something wholegrain, that would help a lot too. Wholewheat anything, pasta, bread, etc increase the fiber by about 3g per serving on average.

I love these noodles! They come in varieties too. I first tried it when i was in japan. They use it in dishes like sukiyaki and oden.

Yummy!

You sure it's the same noodles? 'Cus there are several noodles made from beans or potato starch in Japan but I've never really seen these solluble fiber noodles in japanese stores before. They look the same.

I researched them too and they seem pretty generic. I read one article were Trader Joe's even sold them at one point. Sometimes they add tofu for a better consistency.

A co-worker was an exchange student in Japan in the late 90s. He said they had these noodles then.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
