Oh my god, could that have went ANY easier? Got there, put the NOA on the pile, sat down, and our name was called literally 45 seconds later. (How did that happen so quickly..? There were a handful of others already there waiting, and it was 30 minutes before our scheduled time...)

We went to the young woman's cube, spoke for about 10 minutes or so and were approved. Simple questions (most were straight from the We were told the card will be showing up in 1-2 weeks.

We walked out and were thinking.......that was it.....? Seriously? All of the work that we put into making a 3 inch tall evidence packet and you DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT IT? :) :)

Detroit kicked ####, and we would recommend to everyone that has to go there to just relax and be yourself. Obviously, be prepared and have all of your documents in order, but go in there knowing that the people were pretty decent (like most people from Detroit, even though I had a feeling these guys were from the suburbs) and won't give you a hard time. Even the parking lot guy across the street was decent. Overall a great experience!

WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT EVERYONE HERE AT VISAJOURNEY. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!! This beer's for you!!!

Thank you so much for this information and a huge CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We have our interview in Detroit next month. You were the second one to say how smooth it all went down there. We are about as nervous as a ####### in church thinking about how and what will happen. It is nice to know that things are not going to be as severe as we anticipate.

May I ask....was it at that big scary building facing Jefferson? Im only familiar with the Infopass building across the street from the parking lot.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Yo! Yep, it's the Rosa Parks Federal something or other building right on the corner of Jefferson and Mount Elliot with the black gate around it, kiddie corner from the Walgreens. Right across the street from the building that says "IMMIGRATION" on it, that offers photos/etc.

If you're coming from downtown, going Northeast on Jefferson (away from the Renaissance Center), you'll turn right on Mount Elliot and want to park in the lot on the left side of the road (across from the gated parking lot). It's $7, but the guy who runs it was decent enough and there were plenty of other people in our situations parking over there...it's safe enough and you can stay there as long as you want (we got there a half hour early and reviewed some questions). Don't bother trying to park in the lot attached to the building, it's for employees only, and the guy at the booth was kind of a #######. ;-)

You pretty much go in, go through the metal scanner, put your paper on the pile and wait. The interview was easy, easy, easy as hell. We had probably 100 pages of #######, and they asked for like, one or two things. Try not to sweat it too much, I really got the impression that they just wanted to make sure that the passport photo matched the face of the person in front of them.

If there's anything else you wanna know, or have a question on, lemme know...I'll try to give you the best answer I can.

Good luck and GO DETROIT TIGERS THIS YEAR!! ;-)

Thank you, thank you, thank you kindly!! Yup, the spooky building reminds me of an old nuthouse. I didnt know we could not park in the free parking lot. They always made us park in the back of that lot when going for the Infopass. Thats good to know we will have to mosey on down and pay.

If I have any questions later on, I will be sure to pm you. Again, thanks soooo much and Im happy your interview was a breeze!

GO WINGS!
