LoL MisterBill, are you from Quebec originally by chance? If you have any hopes of this ever happening, better start looking for a new place to live, I hear Idaho is fairly conservative.

I did spend some time with the Quebecois back in 1975. It seems, at least in the French part of Montreal, being from California is the same as being from Hollywood, and not some "filthy American swine". One of the leaders was hoping I could start a similar movement in my own state, and we could set up mutual trade agreements. I humored him, while enjoying the warm, yet tasty 50 Beer, and checking out all the French babes wearing tshirts that said "Voulez-Vous Couchez Avec Moi?" on the front, and "Oui! All The French You Need To Know!" on the back.

I just find it hypocritical that since you dont' like the direction the country is going, you want to seceed. 3 years ago when democrats and a plurality of Libertarians like myself didn't like the direction the country was going wand were simply urging change..... we were considered "un-patriotic".

I never said anything of the kind. I just posted an article to stimulate conversation. I am not making any personal accusations, so why do you want to start? Many Republicans have not liked the direction the country has been going for a long, long time. This is not just a convenient position taken because of who happens to be in the White House.

Now, I have to head out to the Sonoma Coast and do some work.
