I listen to Michael Savage from time to time - but that guy is seriously out there and there's only so much I can listen to before it gets old.

Scary that his callers take him so seriously. If we had people like that on the air waves in the UK - guerila satirists would be bombarding them with calls.

There were a few people who did that in Britain - they would infiltrate daytime TV talk shows and make up fake (ridiculous) news stories and get naiive celebrities and politicians to sign up to anti-drug programs for made-up drugs.

I am reminded of the Miami DJs that called Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez and actually got a hold of him. That amount of skill would indeed be worth a good amount of laughs if they did it to Limpbutt but then again that might be too much attention for such a nutjob. Which is what he wants... attention.

You should check out youtube for Brass Eye skits. The drugs one was hilarious - a local MP was actually so taken in that he asked a question in parliament about it.

Made him look like a complete laughing stock.

Actually, I think the whole plan to place Rush as the "face" of the GOP is very cleaver. (he is not an attractive guy)

Right now the only top Republican image which most people recognize is John McCain, it's hard to paint him as the next villain.

Of course this highlights the phonyness of Obama, and his charade of doing politics a "new way" but Obama is past the phase of angelic promises and onto doing what furthers his agenda.

In fact he already trashed his "most ethical administration in history" pledge by the tax cheats and

corp insiders he has places in key positions.

Its less about how he looks and more about how he acts. He is an angry white guy and not afraid to play that role. If he is seen as the public face of the republicans, then the Republicans will become known as the party of angry white men. Which will hugely limit its appeal outside of that group.

The Democrats don't need to do much, Rush and the Republicans are pretty much doing it to themselves. Just give it a bit more media exposure, and Republicans probably wont get one of their own elected as President for the next 20 years.
