Hello all,

As proof of relationship, one of the thing I am planning is to print out history of skype calls (paid ones and P2P). For P2P, I found a tool that you can download and allow you to get call history. The problem I had with the report though is, there was no way to prove that the call was made by me.

If you want to use this tool, you can download it from here: http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic...mp;#entry400968

So today, I explored a way to print paid call history. Skype provides call history on it's website. You can export the history to a file. However, the same issue, there was no way to prove that I am making the call. Even if you go to File->Print, it will take out the username info at the top screen. So, I found this Firefox addOn tool called Screengrab. This captures the entire screen (including the username info) into one image. It is awesome, now I don't have to do multiple screenshots. I thought this may help others who're trying to do the same.

Screengrab: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1146 More info at http://www.screengrab.org/

How to capture entire screen (even if the screen has multiple pages/scroll bars)?

1. Right click on the web page, select ScreenGrab! -> Save -> Complete Page/Frame..

2. Save the image.

3. Print!

Good luck to all!!!

What a fantastic utility! Thank you so much for sharing that. I was worried about how I might retrieve my Skype logs as I rarely use my cellphone to call my fiance. At the same time, too, you can't really prove that you make phone calls to anyone unless you record the conversation :star: so this works just as well as any calling record! I need it for my interview, just in case I need to show it to them.

You're welcome Magpie. Here is another piece of information that may help you. This tool creates one huge image and I had problem printing it into multiple image with readable resolution (it you open it via web browser or photo editor). So, what I had to do was, right click on the image and select Edit. This opened up an image in paint. I modified Page Setup to set it to Landscape orientation and scaling to Fit To pages.

Phew!!!! So much work for something that may or may not prove anything

Champi thank you for sharing it. I was wondering how would I get the calls with my fiance from skype since that is the only provider we use to get in touch with each other. I am a MAC user and I don't think it's working on my case. Do you know how can I get the informationsfor MAC.

When I search skype it says the sms and call history it goes as far as 6 months. and the chat logs as far as 2 years. How about SKYPE-TO-SKYPE calls? can we get those as well?

jiskat,

I only explored the phone call logs. I quickly googled about chat history but couldn't find anything interesting enough. The closest thing I found was skypr (http://www.osiwanlan.de/skypr/). Apparently, this tool allows you to view history. Not sure if this works or not, I've not tried it.

I'm running into similar issues.

For Mac users, you can take screen captures of the call logs by holding Control-Command-Shift-4, which will give you a crosshair icon. Use that to select the portion of the screen you want to copy. It will automatically copy the image to the clipboard. You can then go into another program and paste it (I used Preview, which allowed me to create a new PDF from the image)

The issue I'm having now, though, is that my fiancee's account shows calls to the US, which I know are to me....but they are listed as the 800 redirect number, rather than directly to me. Very frustrating =P
