My husband and i have made arrangements to take our niece to mexico with us this coming december. My husband and i originally planned to go with his Advanced parole

paperwork, but his sister wants us to take her daughter, our niece to mexico to visit her grandparents. She is a U.S born citizen. she has a passport, and everything she

needs. However, i know from previous experience that we need a paper saying that her parents give us permission to take her out of the country between a designated

time. (my mom had to get permission from my father to take me to mexico when i was 16, so i know the form is out there), i just dont know where to find it. Does anybody

know of any other forms that may be necessary to take my niece on vacation this december? any links to the form i am talking about, or any suggestions would me much

appriciated.

Yah, ive heard about the letters, but when my mom took me to mexico, she got a form from the travel agency that my dad had to sign, so there wouldnt be any legal

problems with me leaving or reenturing the country. I dont want to take my niece out of the U.S and then have there be problems. Anybody know of where i can locate the

form, or even what im talking about? Someone has had to have taken a kid out of the U.S with this form before.

What's with the post having the blank lines in the middle of sentances???

Would be easier to read if if did not have blank lines.

OK, thanks, ill probably just use the basic information that the form says is good to include. Ill type up a letter and pretty much have both of claudia's parents sign it saying that it is ok for her to leave the coutry with us. sounds good. Thanks for your help, although i really thought that the form would be a lot more easily found. bummer

I did find a form that can be used. Here it is Minor travel without both U.S parents I think a letter would be just fine. But the form could be helpful to people in the future. Thanks for everybody's help.

I think you might want to check here:

SERIOUSLY?? 911 has NOTHING to do with whats required, obviously you have not dealt with custody issues. Rethink what you are looking for. The form is called CONSENT TO TRAVEL. Easily accessable through GOOGLE. The form is used to ensure your leagle right to have minor child with you and adds a requirement you must follow as far as returning said minor child to their legal guardian.

Why not just ask your mom what form she used for you?
