Getting IIN

so if the choice of agent is the beneficiary and not the petitioner... will the petitioner still receive the IIN?

if the choice of agent is the beneficiary, all the correspondence will go to the beneficiary directly. i hope that helps.

thanks.... thats what i thought too.... and so how you know that the bills are generated and ready to pay if one doesnt have the IIN number to login?

I was reading some posts based on IIN search on this site. Lot of ppl from last year posted that they had hard time getting IIN from operator. Is this still the case? Do they still give you hard time in giving IIN? Are people still calling multiple times to get IIN?

Don't waste your time calling. They will not give it out and I have not heard of anyone recently getting it over the phone. Instead make sure both of your packets are ready to be mailed. Check everything 4 times!!

The AVR or an operator will be able to tell you. But again you can't do anything until you have the IIN anyway. Don't worry. As everyone else has posted it really does not slow ther process down at all to wait for it in the mail. In fact, we had our IIN the day before our IV fee was generated so even if we had received it earlier we would not have been any further ahead. It will all work out in the end. Good luck

If at all possible pay your bills online!! As everyone else is saying, it now seems almost impossible to get the IIN from the operators but you'll only be waiting a few days for it in the mail! If you pay online that will speed everything up and you'll be back to following all the shortcuts and easily through NVC in less than a month!!
