TN filing for AOS, I-485 and I-130 questions

Hi

This is my first time posting here. I'm so glad I found this forum - it's been extremely helpful in filling out the paperwork for the AOS package.

I'm a TN (Canadian) filing for AOS through marriage in the US and I am hoping the forum can help me with a couple of questions on the I-485 and I-130.

on the I-485 it asks for your Non-immigrant visa number and consulate where visa was issued. I'm not sure which one is the visa number, if there is one; I know TN Canadian is a bit of a weird status because it doesn't require an actual visa and in my search here it seems as if some people have left it blank and some have filled it in. On my I-94 card in the oval USCIS stamp is printed TN with a 5 digit number. Is that the visa number? Also, what would I put for the consulate where visa was issued - should I fill in the border location where I obtained my visa or leave it blank?

on the I-130, question #22, what would I put as the city and state of the USCIS office? Would it be Chicago because we are mailing the application there or the closest USCIS office to where we live?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The visa number should be in your passport where they staple visa. I read the book on filling out the AOS forms, and it says if the question doesn't apply to your case, put N/A. So I guess if you could come without a visa, you should put N/A. The government just doesn't like when you leave spaces blank, the book says. (it is written by a lawyer).

And throught the whole process of filling out the paers, always make sure you either put "N/A" or "None" instead of living a space blank. Good luck!
