hello everyone

We are having a problem sending the forms for packet 3 to the US embassy in London. I went to the website and the address that was showing in there was:

Please send all the completed forms to the Immigrant Visa Unit, 5 Upper Grosvenor Street, London W1A 1JB

However, we went to the post office today to mail all the forms and the lady told us this address does not come up with the same zip-code. :o

she mentioned something like W1K for the zip code

Could some one let us know which address do I have to sent the forms to? I am so worried :(

thank you!!!

did you get the police certificate issue resolved?

i returned mine to the address on the letter and it was fine... you should just tell them to send it anyway, with signature confirmation.

I seem to remember having a similar conversation with the post office when I sent my stuff back, too. Absolutely send your forms back to exactly the address they give you - don't listen to the post office person. I'd send it Royal Mail Special Delivery for next-day delivery if I were you. Don't use Recorded - that's just 'ordinary' First Class with a signature.

Adjustment of Status from K-1 (Very abridged version)

Rocks, I have not solved the police certificate yet........I am worried like hell about that hopefully we will do something.

Thank you everyone for replying so fast. I don't seem to have a clear conversation with the lady at the post office. She says I can't sent it to this one that you are giving me because it does not come up on the system :protest: ........ I don't know what to do?

Talyss, what PO BOX are you referring to?

JeremyR, thank you so much for the advice I will do exactly the same it should be better that the special delivery....

Could you guys post the address where you have sent it. Is it the same as I post earlier? :crying:

When I got the printed out slip they give you from the post office to track the package on the website it didn't show an address it showed a PO Box number - sorry this was back in Jan and I never kept the receipt once I knew it arrived

Interestingly I found this snippet on the US embassy website

Using a GPS or Google Maps?

To reach the U.S. Embassy when using a GPS you must use the postcode W1A 2LQ.

Any other postcode will lead you to a post office sorting station!

which seems to suggest the post is received elsewhere

Hello rocks,

I decided to write a letter to them and explain the situation I hope they will understand it because it is not our fault. On top of that it's not a big difference is just a small mistake, but you know how the embassies are they don't really care. They can check my fiance anywhere in any system he has never been or even seen the police station or jail. Just for a small mistake on his name i hope they will not be cold heart about it :( specially with baby on the way. I am just hoping for the best.

Thank you for your consideration is good to have around people who care and help. :)

After we do our interview I will let you know what has happened so in the future if anyone has this problem they will have an idea of what to expect and do.
