I mailed my I-130 on February 10th and they received it at the lockbox on the 23rd. So far I haven't received a thing from them and they have not cashed my check. I am having a meltdown!!! I called USCIS and they politely told me to call back when it's been 30 days. By then I will need meds. LOL can anyone else tell me if they have had to wait this long??

Thanks!

Betsy

From what Ive seen with the ladies going thru Egypt, is patience has to be a learned skill, there will be plenty of waiting along your journey. look at some of the timelines for people that have do or are doing K-3's from Egypt and u will get an idea of what kind of wait u are in for.

Goodluck, and remember patience.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Mine was a long time ago now but it seems to me it was about a month from the time I mailed it until I got the first NOA. and yes, I will echo what the others said, you have a long wait ahead of you - several months at least - so its better if you can find your happy peaceful place and settle in for the long haul.

good luck and take care :)

Hi Betsy,

Cairo is slow, but thankfully you won't be doing 100% with them, I hope. Be patient with them, but consistent. And please please don't look at my timeline and freak out. Look to the others who DO have the K visa's who went through the same process. (I saw you checked out my profile page thingy and I don't want you to think yours will go the same way as mine, so wanted to send that encouragement).

Got married : 6-3-06

I-130 delivered : 6-12-06 - Appt in Cairo

You're getting upset already? It's only been at the lockbox for a week. You better pull up those big girl pants and have some patience...you're in for a wait. I wouldn't expect to hear from them for another 2-4 weeks.

:lol: moody!!! omg I think you told me the same thing when I freaked out about not getting my noa1!!!!! Good lawd had I only known the hell I was in for I would have sat back and relaxed a while!!!

Oh thank you so much!! I wish that everyone's case could be quick and speedy. It is so hard to be away from the one you love. What else can we do but wait???? Thanks for all your support.
