If you really want to get tax transcripts I know that if you phone to request them and you are by a fax machine they will send them to you while you are still on the phone. Just some information if you don't want to wait a week to get them. But, it's not necessary to submit tax transcripts either.

I assume that each time you moved you submitted the new address to USCIS using the AR-11, correct?

Other than that, everything looks good to go.

I see I guess I could see how that could be 80 pages.....if I add all pages of bank statement, I am sure it would ebd up being a lot of pages. I also did 2 utilities from each year, 3 years altogether since we have been married. I thought of adding comcast cable which is in my name only but someone advised not to include anything that is not joint bill and it could potentially work against me. what do you think? i will update soon before week runs out exactly how many pages i ended up with.....

thanks soooo much for all the help so far

not sure how it could work against you... I included a bunch of stuff that was either just in my name or just in my husbands name.. if anything else it proves that you live at the same address...

Oh wow, thanks for reminding me about the AR-11....See, my last move was within the same apartment complex, but we just moved into a bigger apartment. The address is the same but the apartment number is different, I meant to call USCIS and let them know about that piece of information....do you think I should fill out an AR-11 before sending the documents out or calling them first?!

Also, I will try and call the IRS and see it goes....if it doesnt seem like an easy enough process, I will send the package out with the HR block tax return.

But thanks for that piece of information, very helpful!

Hi Ken&Barbie,

I forgot to do change of address with USCIS. So what i did was filed change of address online the same day i sent out my documents.

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa

Paper based change of address and electronic are the same. The electronic version is better and more effective because it gives you a confirmation number,

plus it getter you new address into USCIS system quicker.

You can either print the confirmation page or save it as PDF for your record.

Double check your documents. and send it with USPS express with delivery confirmation (signature etc).

Also send a money order which i did, it will save you 1 week of check clearing time and you will get your NOA ( receipt letter) faster, which i did.

Do forget to keep a copy of that, if you money order, don't put USDHS but U.S. Department of Homeland Security read the I-751 instructions to

double check.

To be on the save side, make copies of the documents

you think you can reproduce again e.g the ones you are sending original rather than copies... I did it just to be safe you never know with USCIS.

Looks like you forgot to include front back copies of you GC.

Just send the document ASAP.

Good Luck.

That is a good idea....you know an idea I had? I thought of making copies of sevral envelopes of mail sent to us over the past three years especially the ones witht he stickers for change of address. Like when you do an official change of address from the post office, they put these yellow stickers on all mail going to your old address and forward them to you new address. A lot of the mail were credit card offers and stuff so we never opened them, but i came accross them when I was lookign for old bills.. I figured I could make copies of them and include that in the package. We have netflix too now that you mentioned it, I will include that as well.

Wow, I found that very helpful! Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!

As Immigrant2009 stated, just file it online as soon as possible, the same day even. The online version is easy to do. How did the tax transcript request go?

Okay, so I called 1-800-829-1040 which is the number to request tax transcripts and I got a customer service agent after holding for about 40 minutes and so i told him i wanted a fax of my tax transcipts, he said he would transfer me to the accounts department who handles such requests. And when he did transfer me, an automated system came on saying the IRS are busy at this time and cant handle personalized tax transcript requests and if i wanted a copy follow the prompts, which i did, but it never asked me for a fax number or anything, but it said my transcripts are on the way, i assume, it is being mailed.........not faxed. I called back againa and the customer service rep said the accounts dept was swamped since its tax season and cant fax anything to me and i had to wait for it in the mail like everyone else.... :(

Anyway, I think everything is prepared and ready, i am going through everything and making highlights, I will update on how many pages it turned out to be. I am over nighting everything Saturday morning, cos I am waiting on my pictures which i printed online....should arrive tomorrow in the mail. I am so glad this is ready, i couldnt blive I could get everyhting ready so quickly......YOU GUYS WERE A GREAT HELP! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!

Ken&Barbie,

If you have time to include the official IRS transcripts, then well and good, if not as mentioned earlier you'll have them for your 'RFE' file should you get one.

However, jasminelily mentioned to me in a post within this thread "I don't think you need to worry about much of the TurboTax docs, if they really want to see actual IRS return transcripts, they would have send you RFE already." and she was dead right. Even though I did not include official IRS transcripts, it seems there was enough evidence along with the TurboTax docs and I received an email with my approval today.

Ken&Barbie,

You 're welcome.

Thanks, I just did the change of address on the USCIS website and saved it in PDF like you suggested, should i print out a copy and include with my package?

Yes print out the confirmation of "Change of Address" and include it in your application. Just Send with Express Mail with delivery confirmation.

If you send it by Saturday March 7th and USCIS gets by Monday that would be great.

Again from my experience i would suggest to send the fee as money order (Clip it to you cover letter) so that you get NOA faster. Check is good bu can take 3-5 days and

you will get yoru NOA in a 1-2 weeks and you will be panicking during that time.

I got it 1 week after sending the application.

Make sure you write a coverletter requesting removal of condition and listing all the document and order your documents according to that list.

I think you documents are good to go.

Good Luck

Let us know how did it go.

Hello Ken&Barbie,

Referring to above qoute from J&D, yes I did said that and yes I'm still sticking to my point. If you don't have the official IRS transcript right now, what you need to do is to include copy of the filed return (you know the non-official ones that you filed online or mailed in with signatures) plus the W2. That's not official but those two together should work. Plus you have lots of other evidences, tax return is just among one of those. Here's what I think, like a student has to have 70% score as passing grade, let's just say the official transcripts are so freaking important that occupied 10% of the total and the non-official transcripts would give you 5%, you still have score of 95% unless they find out other ways to deduct your score. Hope I'm explaining clear enough. From the reading above, I think you have really good evidence already, don't stress out too much, mail it in and after that it's just a patience waiting game. Again, if they really want to see actual IRS return transcripts, they would send you RFE later and by that time you would definitely have those in hand. It's still a good thing that you've already ordered it because you might get to use them while naturalization. They did say in the natualization instructions that they want to see official, but didn't say that in I-751 process.

Get them in the mail. Once you get the receipt NOA you can relax.

You are right, I should just focus on getting everythin in the mail..

Quick follow up question...how many pages average were most peoples packages? I just saw 80 pages....and I freaked, I am not sure mine would make up to 80 pages maybe 40...some bills, I only include first page that shows both names and address....but subsequent pages were excluded.....

any advice on how many pages are ideal?

Not sure what the guideline is. I did include bank statements, utilities (phone, electricity, cable tv), image of cashed rent check from online banking, tax return transcripts, etc. Some of the stuff are double sided. Plus I did pick 2 out of each year from each kind, so more like e.g. 4 bank statements from 2 years and each statement consist of 4-6 pages = 3 pieces of paper double sided. So just from the bank statements, it's 12 pieces of paper already. What they want you to prove is bona fide entire marriage, so what I submitted covers the whole span of marriage, even some from before marriage but we were already living together. I also included about 8 pieces of paper that contains probably 12-15 photos with different trips, holidays, with friends, with family. So that's twenty pieces of paper already. Plus different kind of utilities bills, health insurance, auto insurance, life insurance, easily 80 pieces of paper for me. That's just me, but it's better to be overkilled then later getting an RFE. By the way, I did include all pages from bank statement and everything, I've read some where people got RFE if you just send in the first page that shows both names and address (don't remember exactly where I read it from), I think they might be considering you're fabricating evidence or submitting incomplete evidence if you skip the rest of the pages.

Wow, I couldnt believe it, my package finally ended up with about 110 pages!!!!!!!!! But nothing was double sided, I guess it got to this many pages because like you suggested I printed all pages of my bank statements which were pretty lengthy....and also my leases which were 6 pages each and 3 leases total. Pictures were about 5 sheets with about 4-6 pictures per page....anyway........THANKS!!!!!!!!

My final list:

1. Cover Letter

2. Money Order for filing fee of $545.00

3. Copy of completed and signed Form I-751 and Additional Address information

Good job!

Now the waiting begins: wait for the NOA, wait for the bio. appt. letter, wait for the date of bio. appt. to do fingerprints (if you have that kind of patience, I just walked in), pray for no RFE or interview, then the long haul for the result.
