Hey folks,

Just a quick question to all of you who already received their GC. After your CRIS status changed to "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident", did the status change afterwards to "Approval notice sent" or did the GC just show up in your mail ?

i think there was also a card production ordered status change as well...

CRIS is inconsistent at best... do not rely on it

YMMV

Mine changed to "Notice mailed ..." immediately, without "Card production ordered". But that was already one week ago, and no "Approval notice sent" or Green Card ever since.

Our status changed on January 23 to say "we sent you a notice that we approved this application on January 22." The welcome letter came in the mail January 26. We got another touch on January 29, but the only thing that changed was that it now said "we sent you a notice that we approved this application on January 28." We got his green card in the mail the 29th as well. The card shows that he has been a permanent resident since January 20, so we assume that is actually when AOS was approved.

We never did get a second welcom letter--or anything else that could possibly have been mailed from CSC on January 28--and our status never changed to show "card production ordered."
