APPROVED!!!!!!!!

...and I just noticed your ticker saying that you will be married on the same day as we will.

But....they're keeping it interesting. We booked return flights hoping for a 3-day visa turnaround, but it looks like 5-7 days is what they claim to be the norm now. :( On the plus side, he said "we do have a heart" and will do whatever he can to get us our visa for a Friday return.

Party time tonight!

jcg:

Don't put too much stock in either the USCIS or State Dept tracking systems. Our USCIS status still says "pending," yet it was obviously sent on to NVC. And I never could get a response from the NVC system that our file was in the system, yet it obviously made it to the embassy (in about 10 days' time, no less). Keep hope alive!

Good luck on interviews!

So sorry to hear about those that are still having problems with their NOA2.

I've had a difficult week trying to put together everything in readiness for the interview, but it really puts things into perspective for me when I am reminded that there are some unfortunate people on here that haven't even gotten their NOA2 yet. I do feel for all in that situation.

My police check arrived last week, and his mum posted over the financial support forms and evidance a couple of weeks prior to that, so my fiance and I were thinking we were good to go. I had my medical scheduled for the 12th October, and we were just sitting down last weekend so that he could sign some forms and go over everything one last time.

And then... "disaster".

Because he's been staying here with me since late June, his mum had offered to complete all the forms on his behalf, as she had access to all his financial information back at home. We did cast a glance through everything a couple of weeks back, and it all looked to be in order from that brief assesment we made. But, on closer inspection, we discovered that the forms had been filled out incorrectly and we might be missing some vital evidance.

So, we can't send off to say we're ready for our interview until all that is resolved and settled out. Last weekend we were both really discouraged by the discovery. I did a lot of crying on Sunday because I'm fed up of the uncertainty and the waiting and the knowledge that I have to say goodbye to him again this coming weekend.

But then, at least we've had our NOA2. And once he's back home and recovered from his jetlag, he'll sort out the forms/evidance and have them sent back to me as soon as possible. It's dissapointing that we're not as close to our interview as I'd hoped, but it's not the end of the world - hopefully it only set us back a few weeks at worst.

Congratulations to you, kayandnigel. I'm so pleased to hear you were approved at your interview!

david already requested an expedite last week when he spoke to the immigration officer..but it dont look like anything is happening. it's been at csc for 14 days now...and nothing has been done to it..i asked him to call and raise hell today. i dunno if it's a girl thing, usa/can thing or what..but if i have a complaint i write email yell call..david doesn't. in fact it's almost like he's afriad to tilli freak out and yell at him to yell at the us govt.
