so i called nvc today. they said my petition is still in processing..and to call back in another week. the guy didn't seem to be able to tell me what kind of processing. So now i'm wondering if we've hit another roadblock, and are now stuck in AP...wouldn't surprise me in the least..since we were stuck in FBI checks.

i thought things would be better since noa2. it's been over 2 weeks now. and i feel like i'm slowly going nowhere again. sigh.

how are the rest of the march filers doing?

still waiting for the NOA2 - i've contacted one of my senators and my congressman and still nothing. right now i'm going back and forth between anger with USCIS and sadness from being apart. and no one seems to be able to tell us anything. we both have clean records, no previous marraiges, no kids - should be pretty straight forward, right?

i don't know what else we can do, and USCIS is making it REALLY hard to keep cool when i call them. i could go on, but i'd probably say something that would get my comment removed, and i know i'm preaching to the choir anyway.

well, i hope things are going better for everyone else.

2 weeks seems like forever...I know, but it probably is almost on its way to the consulate. When we called they said they had not received our file yet, but a couple of days later it was already in the mail to Brasil. I think they just give a standard response sometimes. Hopefully you are past all of the roadblocks. Our interview is scheduled for next week, and his work has been fighting him on giving the time off. We already had to reschedule his flight once, and tonight they finally said okay at work as long as he comes back sooner than he had planned. It's fine with me as long as he can get the medical done and the interview passed. That is all I care about right now. This whole process is so complicated--I just want one part of it to be easy--I know no complaining since we already have an interview date and so many others are waiting...just had to blow off some steam. I am VERY thankful that our prayers were answered and we will be able to keep our original interview date. Good luck to all of the rest of you. I simply cannot believe that there are more March people waiting to be approved. USCIS really needs to work on their organizational/priority skills with so many May filers already being approved. Hold on--your day will come hopefully soon!

March Flier here, My Fiance went for her interview this morning & everything turn out well, except for the interviewer, who was unable to locate the last 3 Years of Tax Transcripts, I had put in an envelope.

All my Fiance has to do, is come back to the Embassy Tommorow & show them & she'll receiver her Visa!!!

Good Luck to the rest of you!!

it still says march 9th, just like it always has. i guess that means no touch. the timeline search shows 84% of march k-1 csc people have their NOA2, but only 5 so far in august. i wish i knew what's causing the delay.

I'm still going crazy Kim...especially now that there are people who have applied after me who got their NOA2 done and have an interview in VAN in the next week....while I'm stuck waiting on MTL. Happy for them, really angry and MTL, especially as theres no way to contact them but by email...which they are not responding to mine....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

I called NVC today and my case was sent out to the consulate. Yours should be the same way kimbear.

I asked them about the necessity of K1 visa's going to the NVC and her response was that they do not handle

any paperwork for I-129f applications. The reason our K1's go to the NVC is just so they can enter the information into the

computer to switch the case number. Thats it. They do this so they can communicate case information to and from the consulate.

They send an electronic copy, and then send it DHL which she said takes no longer than 5 business days.

Hope that helps some. And to the rest of you who have yet to receive your NOA2 yet, hang in there.

Should be a bit of good news knowing that once that is done you only need a week or less at the NVC.

Just got done with an interview.. As i understand it was NOT a breeze... They kept only the medical and the police report and passport.. Iryna got the PINK slip where in Ukrainian it congratulated her in obtaining the visa. She went to FedEx and paid her delivery fee and said she would pick it up. They did not keep affidavit of support papers. I don't know what to think.. questions were tough.. about past marriages. Asked about her accupation now. Very strange behavior no indication on the result of an interview given at all.. Just have to wait i guess till passport comes in.

EXAMINE WHAT YOU BELIEVE TO BE IMPOSSIBLE, THEN CHANGE YOUR BELIEF !!!

Trying not to think about our interview. It isn't even scheduled yet, and I'm already terrified!!! :(

Watch this video, it should take a way a lot of the uncertainty. When Sarah had her J1 interview last year, she said this was the exact process she went through, and from what people on the board have posted, this is exactly what the London interview experience is like even for immigrant visas:

Does this video apply for people applying in the UK though?

Yes, the video was produced by the London embassy itself and basically guides you through all the London specifics. The video says it describes the process for non-immigrant visas, but I think the only difference in this process between immigrant vs non immigrant visas is that the immigrant visas are numbered differently. That's it.

W T F :o

Now is the time to call your senator or congressman. I have never heard of this. Especially because NVC does not do anything with K1's.

From my understanding they just pass it on. I do not understand the last line of your post......

david....he just got a letter, saying it was forwarded to the consulate What does that mean?

Are you saying he had a physical letter that states his petition is going to the consulate?

Well that's a good thing.

Elaborate.
