i'm not sure why i get myself so worked up when i check uscis. after seeing a bunch of couples get their noa2's recently, i start to think today's our day, only to have the disappointment of "Current Status: Case received and pending."

best wishes to all of us still waiting for our noa2 - our day in the sun will come!!!

Wow, I feel you on that one. I check almost everyday hoping to see something. Then I see people post that they are 9 or 10 on IGOR's. That especially gets me because I see that I submitted before them and I am still like 75 on IGOR's. Its heart breaking. I thought it was first come first serve? Obviously not though. America's allied countries get priority, unless they are Muslim of course.

Lol my fiance has told me i'm not allowed to go to vj or uscis anymore cuz i get so upset. And he can't for the life of me get a real person at USCIS.

as for igors list..i stopped checkign it awhile ago. And it has nothing to do with allied countries getting their noa2 first..i'm from canada and it's now been over 130 days and i've heard nothing, nada, zip, ziltch. They have 2 more weeks and then my fiance is calling his congressman to get an answer , since that will be just about the 5 month mark almost.

I see the Igor's list now. I was so disappointed when I was like 80. But I still find myself checking it. And maybe this was because the administration was changed, but I was told by the INS, DHS, AND my congressman that the country does matter. They prioritize based on relationships. Perhaps that has changed now, I hope, cause I see your point. 130 days is one of the posted averages. And, I first started inquiring before we filed which was well over a year ago. Living in a state with a small population you get the chance to meet a lot of people at the local office.

Had my interview last June 19, 2009.. One document was missing so I was under AR for 4 weeks. My prayers were answered when Air21 (courier svc) texted me last Thursday, confirming the delivery of docs from US embassy.. I didnt receive any email or call from USEM, all i got was the text message  so i called em up to ask wats goin on.. and there! my visa is approved! I got my documents yesterday with the visa attached to the passport :P

Hi, what document were you told was missing?

Hi lukelyn!! the consul said it was some police check/name check for the petitioner that was supposed to be included in the I129F that was sent to the consulate.. Maybe USCIS or NVC somehow forgot to do it.. Even the consul was surprised it wasn't there haha.. but I'm happy its over... in just 4 months!! thank god :innocent:

Whew!

Congratulations on your approval

I didn't get an email either actually when I go to USCIS website and check the status it still says pending yet I received a hard copy of NOA2 in the mail on Sat 7/25 with approval date of 7/22. Is your case status online updated or is it still pending?

If you look at the example form here on vj: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf It states to put N/A, as it is not applicable for K1.

Well, our papers were sent out from NVC on the 24th, and have been sitting at the Miami facility since the 25th without any further status updates. Some of the other cases sent out that day followed the same track as ours including going through Miami and have already been delivered to their consulates. I finally called DHL today to see why it is taking so long for the package to be processed in Miami and sent on to Brasil. They confirmed that the papers should have left Miami by now, but apparently are still there. They are supposed to be calling me back sometime in the next hour as they have to get a researcher to check it out. Just when we think things are getting easier, we find out there is another problem. I am happy to be through NVC, but we are anxious to get an interview date so we can buy tickets for him to fly down to Rio for the medical and consulate interview. Good luck to the people still waiting. It could be any day now!!

How do you track shipments again? I would like to know if any packets have gone out to Malaysia. I tried following some other posts on how to track but was told on the dhl website that the search criteria was not valid.

I'd appreciate knowing! Thanks!

Okay so I got my NOA2 Notice in the mail yesterday, and there is really nothing for me to do at this point, I told my fiance the ball is in his court now...NVC said they would mail him a packet I guess what he will need for his medical and all that other stuff...NVC said it would take about 4 weeks for them to get the paperwork....does it really take that long? I'm just hoping he will be here before Christmas!!

if you look at your consualte review, you can see the forms they ask for. the beneficiary can pretty much complete a great deal fo these now and the petitioner has to give a few of them to the bene as well. best to do all that asasp so when p3 arrives you can send back the stuff same day / week and have less time waiting for the interview date.
