Yah I have been told not to go by the online Notifications on USCIS as they are not as accurate as one would like to believe. I was told that I would probably get my NOA2 in the mail before it shows online....

Kelly :)

Just was told the cheque cleared yesterday, we now have our case number, but of course as its new nothing in the system yet to know if they sent the NOA1 out today. Will update you when we get it :D

Usually they put the cases in the system immediately. However, I think that there has been problems with the system online lately, because no one is getting their approval (NOA2) emails, and then getting the hard copy in the mail. So you may or may not get put in the online system soon, but you should recieve the paper copy faily quickly My NOA1 was the 15th of Jan. and I got my paper copy the 23rd.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I had heard a few people saying they weren't in the system yet, but it could also be that maybe I read one of the numbers off the back of his cheque wrong. Either way, no panicing, they took our money so even though its a small step, its one step closer :D

I just checked my number online (was on the back of the check copy) and it appears that I have NOA1 electronic copy too. Does this inaccuracy in the system only apply to NOA1s or NOA2s as well?

Mostly.Right now the issue is the system is overloaded. Some people never end up in the system until they are processed (ie. me) some get in, but never see a touch or a status update, and some people see their touches and updates right away. We have the paper so I know they have our package, its just more a comfort factor in seeing it online, even if its not accurate or never changes.

Well, I guess if you ask for something on the Visa Journey site you shall receive! I checked my bank account this morning and our check has been cashed. Makes me feel a bit better because I was starting to think "oh god, what if i forgot to sign the check and thats why they haven't cashed it". At least someone has opened the packet even if its only to get the money!

I have found this process to be very fast and easy for us . I sent our I-129f on Mar.6 , and they recieved it on the 9th.

Got the NOA1 on the 14th. Thats 5 days for the NOA1..

I noticed a misspell on the I-129f , called USCIS on the 16th about the error , Got immediate correction and a email the same day confirming the correction .

And I have been able to check our staus without any problems at all ..

All I can say is I pray that this fast responces will continue.

Good Luck to All .

I just wonder if this is a false hope.. if the time cut here now.. maybe the wait is longer on the consulate end?... olthough it should not matter.

Just feels uncomfortable when I do not know the time line.

EXAMINE WHAT YOU BELIEVE TO BE IMPOSSIBLE, THEN CHANGE YOUR BELIEF !!!

I know for myself, the timeframe at my consulate is about 4 months from sending back packet 3 to having the interview >< Stupid Montreal
