Just wanted to let you know we got a email yesterday saying we are getting a RFE ..

I find this as good news because it shows they are working on our file .

Our NOA1 was dated March 9, 2009. So they are working on March filers now ..

Looks like things are moving again ..

Any idea why you got an RFE? I hope our application is okay.

At least they are still working on March filers. Ours was sent a bit later than March 9th, so maybe we will hear something in the next few weeks or so. *hopes*

Our case file was entered into the online system on March 17th, whcih is about a week before we had anything through the post.

Sorry to hear that, but I like your positive thinking. Like you said, this way you know how to fix the problem and know your petition will be approved soon. Maybe you could post what they asked for (like FrostyMist already asked). Of course, only if you want to.

Good luck with the rest of the process!

At least as you said, an RFE means someone is looking at your stuff! Make sure you send it back asap, because they can add anywhere from 2-4 weeks onto your approval time. Good luck with everything! Hopefully we will see more approvals soon.

oh and usagroom, a lot of us hop threads to previous applicants and new ones as well. That way we can see what happened and help with advice to people who don't know what to expect. After all, its all about support on this site, we welcome Ian and Lisa to post here as well.

I want to hear something... come on, work on the March 2nd's... see they most definitely do not work on them "in the order received"

I shouldn't have splashed out all the cash on overnighting my package! I should have just thrown the money on a campfire because it would have the same efficiency.

I am happy that they are moving though and happy for those of us getting adjudicated.

I want my husband damn it >:(

Hey John_Anna Marie at least you got a touch 8 days ago... someone actually touched and looked at your papers.

They have not touched mine since March 3.

You would think we would be in the same "box" then wouldn't we since we sent our things on the same day (just noticed now)?

You didn't happen to mail your package from the financial district in San Francisco did you? LOL

That just makes me think there's something wrong with my petition. Or maybe because like I said my petition is too skinny so it got lost under a big fat file with all the correct information in it.

This is so obnoxious. I'm so sick of waiting. Cooking dinner FOR MYSELF, being scared in my apartment BY MYSELF, and waiting, waiting waiting. Waiting for it to be the correct time that our diff. time zones line up so we can talk. Waiting for the work day to be over. Waiting for some stupid government agency to tell me that I'm legitimate? Please, what does the government know about legitimate. Yes I'm aware that everyone has to do this process but blah blah

OK enough complaining since I am at work. woo-hoo :P

Better see someone get approved in here today even if its not me >:(

This week has been hard for me because of distance. He had terrible storms last Monday night, and was without power for a good 30 hours afterwards. Lucky his mum was able to send me an email and let me know he wasn't able to get online, but I hate it so much when distance keeps us from being able to spend time with each other - even if it's just online.

emmaline_g, I know it's hard. Try to take comfort in the fact that at least they are processing timelines closer to when you sent yours off. This gives me a lot more comfort, even though ours still hasn't been touched since it was entered into the online system on the 17th March.

I really wish you guys would get news soon. It makes me feel so bad that I have mine already and you guys are still waiting. I want to be celebrating your petitions getting through NVC and towards the consulate and an interview. It makes me feel so guilty.

Dont feel guilty Steph. I'ts not your fault. it's just that some of us have seen a bunch of approvals recently and then bang..it seems to have stopped again. And it also seems a bunch of expedites are being done as well. So i feel like i've been pushed onto the back burner again.

What doesn't help is my current living arrangement with my sister. there are alot of RL family issues for me and the more i'm stuck here the more i want to just run away :(

David even tried calling and got the usual standard answer. But then i saw that thread about ppl not getting noa2 but finding out from NVC that they were approved..so after work he's gonna try that and see if just maybe we have been approved.

I'm really hoping by the end of the month more of us March filers get our approval.
