Same here! I haven't checked them more than once a week up until now, but at soon as people start getting their NOA2's, I keep on checking regularly!

When it rains it pours...

So the night I got laid off Wes had some troubles with his truck overheating, his rad had a leak and all the fluid drained...he took it to the shop today and its toast so he had to get a new car, which blows because its not money we intended to spend for awhile. Each new thing makes me think it will be harder and harder for us to have our wedding next year...not the civil one, the other one, because even though he makes above the line, we will have my car, and now his as well as the apartment to pay for and paying back my schooling to my parents. I've just sat here crying for the last 30 minutes. I dont want to make us go into debt but I have always dreamed of my pretty wedding....and I would like to have it sometime soon, I dont really want to wait 2-5 years to have it. I know that probably makes me sound selfish but in my mind thats so far away that theres no point, which he doesnt agree with because he knows how much I want it. In my mind however we will have been married for so long that everyone will know and its not the same...so much sacrificing already made in this process and this now just adds to it.

It also means that even if my interview isnt till September, I wont be able to go see him in August. :crying:

I am so sorry Danu! Everything has a way of working itself out! I won't be able to see my fiance until the end of September because we are having the wedding in October! I haven't seen him since beginning of April!! It's worth waiting for and will make the reunion so much better! Stay strong!

<3 thanks you guys, it was a rough night last night. You are both so right. I talked with Wes for awhile and things arent looking so bleak anymore lol. I guess I was just feeling super horrible because I feel almost guilty for losing my job right now when we need the money so badly, but I know its not my fault, its not like I was fired. I've just got to suck it up and get on with the process now!

*hugs* Thanks for listening to me vent though

I feel upset... I feel guilty.

I feel like if I had assembled the package better I would have NOA2 by now.

I really do feel like crying. I researched the visas for 2 years but then when it was time to put together the petition, I did it when i was in the UK visiting my fiance and I wanted to finish it fast so I could spend time with him... I wanted to finish it fast so I could mail it off fast when I got back to the USA... maybe I just made such a weak petition I slowed everything down

Normally I feel pretty positive but today I just feel like crying. I feel like a failure, like according to this USCIS measurement system of "how much you love your fiance and how real it is" I failed and didn't put ENOUGH. It's hard to explain. I see people getting approved and it's like oh THEY did something right that I didn't. But it's not fair, it's not like my love is any less because I messed up a tiny bit of paperwork or didn't put enough pictures...

That was my venting for the day :)

emmaline_g, sorry if I missed something from a previous post, but did something happen to make you think that you didn't put your application together right? An RFE maybe? :(

We sent in our I-129F as soon as he had returned home to the US, after our last trip. We waited a few weeks until we had recovered from the trauma of being seperated again, and then started putting everything together. It took about five weeks in total, to get everything sorted out. I still worry even now that we're going to get an RFE, even though I know we did our best and had multiple people check over the application.

It is sometimes hard to stay strong when others seem to have a much easier time of things. Remember that this whole thing is a long process, and perhaps others will be slowed down in later parts where you might whizz through them with no problems instead. Who knows what will happen?

I hate knowing that the USCIS have such a terrible claim over my future. This whole experience has been a completely mixed bag. Aren't people supposed to be excited about their wedding? I feel like I spend most of my time living in dread, worried about what we'll do if we don't get approved or if things don't go as planned.

Sorry you are having such bad luck these days. (Besides your approval :) ) My guy (and 500 other employees) lost his job last december. started a knew one first of May. He and 150 other employees got scammed (?) and never got payed. He even lost $600 do to expenses. He had an interview last Friday, but hadn't heard anything yet. Really sucks. Obviously he hasn't been alwas in the best mood lately, which doesn't make it easier do be away from him. Plus this waiting for our approval doesnt' help.

BTW I was thinking about the Affidavit of Support. Does my guy need to show recent pay stubs? or are the tax returns enough?

Thanks, Fran
