I am by no means defending the system, but the USCIS is just like the DMV or any other governmental organization. It shouldn't be a surprise that they're not whipping out things left and right. Like if I want to fix my driver's license I have to wait in line all day... which isn't fun but what do you want a magic pony that puts you in front of everyone else in line. Actually .. yeah give me a magic pony!

Look how many people are on this website, and that is just a fraction of the people who have applied for the K-1 visa... and the K-1 visa is just a fraction of ALL visas that must be adjudicated. From reading some people on this site I am not surprised at the scrutiny or slowness with which the USCIS treats us. I don't appreciate it, but I do have an understanding of why things are the way they are... because of the volume of applications, because of fraud.

I personally will feel incredibly blessed if my fiance comes here this year. That will be good enough for me. But then again I have been waiting nearly 3 years already just to be in the same place with him, so what is another 9ish months?

It's gonna happen, I think we're next in line ;) We shouldn't complain yet we filed a mere 3 months ago, if I get approved anytime soon I'll send sprinkles cupcakes to Laguna Niguel...

Well, like I said...even though I wish the process were faster, it is the lack of communication that drives most people crazy I think. If we KNEW where we were in line, or what was being worked on, I think it would make the wait easier to bare.

-Blu-(I can't even SEE the front of the line from here!)

Congratulations! I saw that you just got ur NO2! I'm soo happy for you!

Hey guys! Congratulations to all the people who recently got their NOAs!!! Finally CSC is moving ahead.

I got a question for the people who got their NOA2 this week. Did you guys notice if you had any "touches" online and/or did the status of your case change to reflect the fact that you are now approved? I got a couple of touches (one late on Monday and one early Tuesday) but my case status still says "Pending". I am wondering if my NOA2 might be in the mail already. Thanks!

I got no touches...even when I checked this very afternoon. But then as I was leaving work, I got an approval email. I checked my case status and it has changed to NOA2.

Go read through the timeline thing on here, you're going to need to get the financial stuff for her next, and she will have to fill out the packet 3 forms, which I believe she can DL from her consulates website to give her a headstart, that way when her Packet 3 checklist arrives she can just mail it back.
