Our NOA1 hasn't arrived yet, and it's been almost 14 days. I thought I should try to wait until 21 days have passed before I get to worried about the long wait. Although the waiting is hard, I have found it easier to deal with than when we were waiting whilst paperwork was gathered etc - at least now every day is one day less to go.

I'm so jittery! I want my NOA1. I know it's only been 3 days and most likely I'll see it next week. I'm just so nervous about this whole process. God, what will I do in the next few months?

I know the feeling as well. I've been checking with my bank everyday to see if my check has been cashed. I also wait for the stupid green postcard to arrive, which it did today (it took 9 days for me to receive). I was so surprised when I received my NOA1 in the mail. Now, I anxiously wait for a touch, which hasn't happened yet b/c I check my USCIS account.

Frosty, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Hopefully, you'll receive it tomorrow. Maybe a mixup by USPS? My green postcard is a prime example.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'm sure the delay is just on account of the postal service. I had it in my mind not to start freaking out unless there'd been no word for over 21 days. There's still another week to go until then, so I'm hoping for the best.

Woke up at 2AM to look at the bank account. Looks like they cashed the check. Now waiting on mail to bring the hard copy. :whistle:

Hard Copy NOA-1 received today. :dance: But case number is not in the system yet :-(

Is there a difference what case number starts with. Mine starts with WAC ... some start with LIN.. and such..

Is there a reason for this?

And one for you, how did you know you got NOA1 on the 18th if you hadn't gotten the card copy (or your check cashed) at the time?

I'm still not in the system vega and I have been waiting since the beginning of the month. I panicked, but apparently its not a rare occurance and some people don't get entered until they are approved. As long as your check was cashed and you have the hard copy I wouldnt be too worried, just keep it all in a safe spot just incase.

Tiny - the NOA1 has the receipt date on it, which is when they put you into the system. It is usually (though not always) within a few days of the cheque being cashed, so its usually a safe bet that when your check is cashed you will get the NOA1 soon.

On a side note, did you guys see they are starting to approve feb ppl already? I need something to ground me so I don't float away. I'm really hoping I dont end up disappointed.
