Yeah Kim, it absolutely sucks cuz we heard most of the times they just let you go, but he must have got the grumpy one. He had to pay duties and everything (though because I have the paperwork for it we can claim that money back as its not staying in Canada)

I have been debating on going to blizzcon this year, depending on when everything goes through been thinking that my reason for visiting will be to goto the convention, but that i would bring my extra paperwork just incase they look me up or something. Not sure though because I have no idea when the NOA2 will go through or when the interview will be. Hoping that I can be lucky like the ones lately and get it in a couple months from the NOA2 date. I just miss him a lot and by that time it will be 6 months since I saw him last.

Hehe blizzcon would prolly be a blast. but ya..i'd be scared to go too with the ppwk in the system. It's always the sick or grumpy ones i get too, or the ones that refuse to look you in the eye..god that annoys me.

I've seen David a total of about 2 weeks since December, now considering i was with him from october til december when i came back it really hurts. But he just told me he's takign the last of his vacation and comming down the first week of July. YAY

Hopefully we'll see some March approvals soon..once we do you know we'll feel better. It's just the damn slowness lately thats gotten to most of us i think.

To me, it isn't how slow it is taking...ok...it is that too...but really it is the total lack of information. I think if we KNEW where in the process our petitions were, we would feel better, like at least it is moving along. But with no communication, or ability to even call someone and find out anything, we are left in the dark, to let our wandering imaginations imagine the worst.

-Blu-(my imagination wandered off actually, if you find it, can you direct it back to California?)

Well I know its probably nothing but since the petition showed up last night I have also received a touch today, so at least someone has seen my paperwork and is at least moving it around if nothing else.

Yeah Blizzcon would be fun, I went to the one last year. I just dont want to chance getting everything all ready and then end up my interview that week lol.

Hey Danu! The touch could mean your petition has been moved from one box to another, but who knows it could be something more like an NOA2 *knocks on wood* I never received an email notification of NOA2. Just a touch, then a few days later an NOA2 in my fiance's mailbox!! I hope it is for you!!

Perry/Elena I think it means they are working on the applications filed on or before March 12... it doesn't necessarily mean they approved any.

Eagerly awaiting my RFE...NOT!!!!! At least if I get the RFE that means someone actually looked at my case.

I hope my fiance comes here this year because I'm seriously going into credit card debt travelling back and forth from here to Europe. Also I'm scared of flying. Anyone flown on an Airbus before, because I'm scared of them... all the times I flew and survived I was on a Boeing... or should I just eat enough medicine to pass out for 12 hours. Help anyone whose fiance/e lives in Europe, help me!!!

I completely agree. What is the purpose of the online status' and the website if they aren't going to provide real-time updates on where they are at. In a consumer, service-based, and performance driven country such as the US, this is just sad...

Well really the issue is our petitions sit in a box on a shelf for months at a time so really there is no updating ... I read some QA section awhile back from a ex adjudicator that said this is what happens ... and it takes a adjudicator roughly 15-20 mins to complete a case ... that is either approving, denying or sending a RFE .... it is a little disheartening to know our cases basically sit on a shelf for so long for a 15 minute approval ....here is the link ... it was a interesting read anyway ..

I am by no means defending the system, but the USCIS is just like the DMV or any other governmental organization. It shouldn't be a surprise that they're not whipping out things left and right. Like if I want to fix my driver's license I have to wait in line all day... which isn't fun but what do you want a magic pony that puts you in front of everyone else in line. Actually .. yeah give me a magic pony!

Look how many people are on this website, and that is just a fraction of the people who have applied for the K-1 visa... and the K-1 visa is just a fraction of ALL visas that must be adjudicated. From reading some people on this site I am not surprised at the scrutiny or slowness with which the USCIS treats us. I don't appreciate it, but I do have an understanding of why things are the way they are... because of the volume of applications, because of fraud.

I personally will feel incredibly blessed if my fiance comes here this year. That will be good enough for me. But then again I have been waiting nearly 3 years already just to be in the same place with him, so what is another 9ish months?

It's gonna happen, I think we're next in line ;) We shouldn't complain yet we filed a mere 3 months ago, if I get approved anytime soon I'll send sprinkles cupcakes to Laguna Niguel...
