I read the comments on their timeline and it says that they aren't too sure about the dates. So, we can't be really sure if it's accurate. But, anyways, it's a NOA2.

Actually I'm going to go with that I think the number I thought it was is wrong. The more I look at it, some of the digits look like letters, some I can't figure out at all, so once we have the NOA1 it should help lol.

if you are as impatient as i was, if you can read some of it, you could probably guess the rest! ((yea, i spent wayyyy too long trying to do that, but i couldnt read any of the last 4 numbers haha))

Lol. I am very much impatient. I was up until about 1:30 trying a bunch of different combinations. Are all the digits after WAC numbers or are some of them letters? Bah, guess I will have to wait till the paper gets here. I assume the NOA1 is shortly before/after the cheque is cashed...so maybe we might get the letter next weekish?

[/quote

all of ours was numbers after wac ..is that a comfirmation they got the check or a confirmation they approved your pack? took us about 2 weeks before we seen anything on website ..we never checked for touches etc., about 3 months after they sent first letter of getting check we got approval letter .and said they were sending from calif to back east.

than about mid dec they sent letter stating sending on to thailand..,my fiancee got call in first part of april giving us about 3 weeks to the interview date at end of month. So for us it took almost one year start to finish...

this is california to thailand

wish you two speedy time frame!!!!

I know, bummer on the estimated time changing by more than 2 months. Lame...

I think I'm the only one who is relieved that the waiting is in the hands of the USCIS and not in my hands. The delay is the government's fault not mine. For me personally when I graduated from college I had to get established with a job and address before I could file the papers--THAT waiting was torture, I felt like a failure when things didn't fall into place immediately, etc. It took me 2 years to get to the point where I could file so it's a relief even if my case is PENDING

At least this way I have done everything and now it's the USCIS' turn to do something. It's more infuriating than heartbreaking for me now. Like when people were getting approved so fast, I was hopeful, but now that the time has seemingly slowed down, I think, "oh, so those people's applications were so much more special than mine? what-the-F-ever" There's no point in thinking like that, but the 4-year-old part of my brain thinks "no fair....."

Anyway whatever I'm going to the beach :)

I know we all feel like our applications are the only ones they have to look at

but if you look at government wedsite they have 1 million more apps than last year and they are moving people around to meet the target time frame of 6 months , I am sure its not so easy to just look at our packages and say ok their approved. And 911 didnt help us either.

i would us the down time to get everything together emails ,phone records everything u can think of...

good luck to you two and relax it will start rolling

faster after package 2

We all know it can take some time, we just all got our hopes up because feb filers were getting approved in 30-46 days. I doubt very much that it will take until when our timelines say for us to get our NOA2's....the VJ timelines the way they are shown...basically means CSC would have to stop doing any approvals for another 3 months for me to get my NOA2 in August. Thats how I'm putting my positive spin on it. Even if we haven't gotten anything yet I highly doubt that many of us will actually be waiting till August, minus the complicated ones or ones with RFE's. I'm thinking next month will be our month!

I totally agree with your assessment. Just to add a point USCIS will often shift resources to different departments to catchup with the lagging applications. It seemed from the Feb approvals they are pretty much within and ahead of schedule for K1 applications so they are processing different petitions. Its my hope that they get back to their K1 processing sooner than later. We are still waiting and as of today no new touches on our case.

Well, I sent them a comment and this is what they said:

Me: "Hey, congratulations on having your approval! I noticed it was a very speedy process for you, did you do military expedite or you had a normal lenght case? Anyway, congratulations, you would be the first March approval (non-expedited)!"

Jerry&Ashley: "Hey there, I just had a normal length case. I guess anyways. However I don't plan on sending my K-1 packet to the consulate any time soon. I still have to double check with my American Fiancee what dates are on the forms that were sent to her. I can tell you though that my K1-Packet says 09 Apr 2009. "

They can be considered March filers since they received their NOA1 in March, even though they sent the file in February.

So yay, hopefully we see more of us getting approved within the next couple of weeks!

So what are the good news on the CSC March K1 front?

I got one or two: started working towards getting the paperwork ready for the interview, got my new Birth Certificate and went on an interview for a job to keep me busy during the wait. And finished "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov.

How about you guys?

Not all that much good to report here I'm afraid, I've come down with the flu...again...2nd time in 2 months blech.

I found out Wes bought me a GPS he will bringing when he comes up to escort me home. Because I live just across the border and have pretty much a whole apartment setup while he has...very little...we will be driving cross country. He didnt want us to get lost but also wanted me to have a bit of freedom when I get down there, so this should help me get to where I need to go without getting lost on the way. Such a sweety!
