Hey everybody, just checking in. I got my NOA1 on March 23rd, more than 2 weeks ago. I really hope the wait won't be too long as VJ estimates I'll be adjudicated by the middle of June. How is everybody?

I'm OK and yourself? :star:

Overall I am just bored with the waiting. Not only do I have a big crush on my fiance, he's also my best friend and very funny; it's boring when he's not around. And it's very hard to enjoy being engaged when I can't plan anything and it seems like nobody really cares because our respective families/friends cannot "mingle" for obvious reasons. I really wish our parents could meet but they probably never will. If you put a bridal magazine in my face right now I will probably chew it up and kill you. :( Can anyone relate to this?

Anyway like BaWa said, lots of chocolate.. :P

I can absolutely relate emmaline. My family is really close, but they seem to think my fiancee is a nonentity because they haven't met her. They don't seem to understand that my time with her online is as important to me as the time they spend face-to-face with their SO is to them. It's frustrating but I feel certain it will work itself out once she is here.

VSC is moving this week. Hopefully it will continue and good things are just a small wait away.

I never would have believed my journey to happiness would begin with something called an "I-129F"

Oh, I can relate, A LOT! I was supposed to spend all this waiting time with my fiance, but thanks to the "wonderful" CBPOs at the POE of Seattle that won't be possible. So yeah, I'm sad, crancky and angry, all I want is to sleep and be awaken on the day of my interview. I guess I need to eat more chocolate :)

I can so relate too, and it hasn't even been that long. I feel so frustrated with the waiting game with no information posted online not even our case number is showing up. Then it seems like the information we get is rarely current anyways. Sorry to complain. I know so many have been waiting lots longer than I have, but it is nice to know that someone can relate to me. I am also putting all the wedding plans on hold until we have a better idea about the visa. It is frustrating because some things have to be booked well in advance. Good luck to everyone!

I know exactly how you feel. Mine isnt show up either. And I HATE being away from Wes. I have been a basket of emotions, crying at the drop of a hat, having terrible dreams. And then I found out because they are doing this restructuring of his company that I probably won't get to see him until I move as I can't really plan to go anywhere when I dont know when my medical/interview will be and I need to give enough notice ahead of time to have someone cover me at work. GAH! Now I'm thinking I may move at the beginning of Oct if its possible (if everything goes ok) instead of in Nov as we had thought because I just dont want to be away from him that long. *sigh* everything I do, any movie I watch or sad song I hear makes me think of him and then I start crying again. Its almost like I'm pregnant the way my emotions are jumping all over (though I know I'm not)

PLEASE CSC GODS, Please start accepting some of us soon....or just put my thing into the damn system so I can stop freaking out about it not being there!

I can relate a little bit, but I'm spending 90 days with my fiancee starting in mid-June (hopefully we'll have NOA2 by then) and then I can hopefully be with her until she gets her visa.

oh how lucky!!! will you be spending the time in Japan? Can you bring us back a present (jk!!)

I hope to spend 2 weeks in my fiance's country this summer, but it's hard to juggle/stretch vacation days! I envy those who manage to spend extended time abroad.

I will be jealous yet happy when someone in here gets approved. I notice some of you live near me. We will have a party when someone gets NOA2, what do you think?

I'm glad we have a chance to share our feelings and frustrations with each other. It is good to feel understood. I will keep all of my VJ friends in my prayers. We just have to maintain our faith that things will work out quickly!

Our case is online. It says: case status: Case recieved and pending. But it doesn't show if it has been touched. Maybe it hasn't or the system doesn't get updated. Anything seems to be speculation, there is nothing one can rely on.

"Touch" is just the term for when there's a change in the date under "Last Updated." For example my case is still received and pending too; under Last Updated it says 3/3/09 so that is the last date on which my case was "touched". These updates are also not e-mailed, because they are not that significant. Do you have a date there? I mean the very fact that they have you online means that someone touched it at some point! :)

I read somewhere on VJ that they only update the online system once per month. In fact maybe I read that in this thread somewhere. I have read lots of posts about people getting their NOA2s or even getting their s/o into the USA without seeing any status change in the online portfolio.
