Well it's a year later, guessing everyone got their approvals and are happily married or soon to be. Just thought i'd check in:)

Well, we got our visa in December. She is still not here! AHHHHHHHH. Driving me mad.

My gal just wanted to enjoy her family and her country without the stress of the visa process.

She wanted to take it all in one last time before she moves for good. We have until June for the visa, but I think she'll come

sooner. Hopefully April. Anyway, she loves her job, her family, and her country, more so than the US.

I completely understand. But I still miss her.

Anyway, we have the visa. That's all i car about.

What keeps me going is remembering how good we were together.

And how good we will be.

Cheers.

Thanks for the update Kim.

Hang in there.

We were approved for our visa in January. My fiance flew over two weeks back, and I'm scheduled to fly back with him to the US April 12th. Things are moving pretty quickly here now, and I'm both extremely excited and also quite nervous. It's going to be hard leaving my family behind, but there's not much else tying me to the UK except them, so I hope I'll be able to adapt to being in a new country.

Goodluck!! We finally JUST got our interview date scheduled for next week, but I think he's got "cold feet". He sent me an email last night saying that he loved me and missed me, and that he would go to the interview on Wednesday, but if they say yes he wanted more time to think and to make sure he is making the right decision. Mind you, he's been at his job for over 20 yrs, all his family, friends live there...I totally understand his fear. He said he just didn't think it would be this hard to leave. We have a little boy who is going to be 2 in May. This is all so crazy, all he ever talked about was being here with the two of us and now I'm afraid his fear is going to overpower him and he will decide not to come!

Thanks for asking. Yes, I am here in the US now. I arrived about 3 weeks ago. :)

It's pretty hectic here at the moment - because I have a medical condition and disability, there've been a lot of doctors to get set up with, etc. We put in our application for a marriage license about a week ago, so we'll hopefully have that sorted in a few weeks time.

I'm loving it here though, and totally feel that the whole K1 process (stresses included!) were worth it. :)

I'm excited for you...just wish my situation would have turned out a bit better. My man was too scared to come over to the US which ultimately ended our relationship.

I'm so sorry that it didn't work out for you.

Moving to a new country is a huge, huge thing to do. I don't think it quite hit me until I actually got to the airport and had checked in. I was glad to have my fiance with me then, as it was extremely frightening and I nearly had a panic attack at the thought of what I was leaving behind. It was all very overwhelming.

Thanks Frosty, and yeah I know it is a HUGE move anyone can agree, however he went through with his interview at the end of March and had his Visa in hand, only to tell me two weeks after he got it that he didn't think he loved me enough to move here and that he didn't have the same feelings for me as he use to. #######!! We have a 23 month old..He was just here to visit in March and never mentioned anything about not having any feelings for me anymore. He even left some things here at my house and advised me that he would have to give his job a months notice and that he would be here the middle of May. It's all so crazy...I was devestated!!

Oh I'm so so sorry to hear that. All this time.....

So what now? I mean are you trying to calm his nerves at all?

Yea my lady arrived. It took a lot of pushing though.

We were in this situation as well, she told me the same things.

Im just so sorry to hear this.

How is it looking now? I mean he has 6 months to think about it right?

That could be a good thing.

Hey there,

Thanks for the concern...he did not come and even though he has until the end of September to come, he has stated that he will never come here to live. He said he will visit Dylan as often as he can, but just to visit. I tried and tried to make him change his mind...he called me self-centered, and was just really nasty towards me, almost as if he wanted to push me away. So I did just that...I left him alone...as hard as it was for me, I just had to for my sanity!! Bad thing is I won't be able to totally cut communications off because of our son. I'm glad your girl finally arrived. Good Luck!!
