Well, just a hair over 7 months from posting the forms and a year of being long distance, Sarah's visa was delivered to her yesterday via courier! She'll be here for good 12 days from today! Thanks to everyone for the help and support in answering all my questions, it was much appreciated, and good luck to those who don't have their approvals or visas yet. The wait is hard as hell but just be sure to keep the reason you're doing it in the front of your mind, and you'll realize it will all be worth it in the end.

Great news! The wait is very much worth it even though you want to kick scream and punch the whole way!! lol :)

so i guess i have a bit of good news. CSC finally sent me an email saying that prcessing has resumed on my case after my RFE. I'm just wondering how long it takes them to reaffirm their original NOA2.

also i move saturday. got accepted for my apartment on a month by month lease. really nice landlords too. and david is comming up this weekend to help me get settled. we are both excited at the prospect of being able to see each other every weekend now instead of every few months. and not having to pay for plane tickets and hotels makes this so much easier to save up money.

hopefully this trend can continue and i'll be joining the rest of you at the consulate interview stage soon. maybe i'm counting my chickens before they hatch but i do not see a reason they would not give me a 2nd noa2. right now i just want these positive feeling to continue!!

well usually an RFE takes 2-3 weeks to go through, but I'm not sure with them ###### up how its going to work out. I really hope you hear something before I have my interview. I still can't believe this is dragging on so long for you! I keep checking up to see if theres good news yet, and I have my fingers (and toes) crossed that they get this done soon.

I certainly feel that way at the moment. Distance gets harder the longer it goes on. :(

And why, oh why, are the US Embassy in London incapable of sending letters that explain things? Since I've been having a massive problems with getting a doctors letter to explain my medical condition (and consequently cannot attend the medical until I do so) I've had to write to the Embassy and request that our petition be extended.

They wrote back to me in early October, saying that I needed a sworn letter of intent from my fiance. Which I then dutifully provided. Now they write back to me again and tell me to basically send them my checklist and attend my medical ASAP.

I'm not sure whether I should assume that that means "We have your letter of intent, but hurry up anyways!" or whether they're saying "we've ignored your fiance's letter of intent, so hurry up and sort things out!!"

That's great news, Kimbear. At least you are making progress with things again now!

I'm making progress at last here, also. Got my medical scheduled for the 26th November (the doctors finally were able to write my medical letter for me) and my IV-15 checklist finally sent off yesterday. Now I'm just waiting for interview date, and have been stressing myself by going over all the evidance meticulously. Already discovered two or three problems that will require my fiance and the co sponsor to resend me their I-134 forms. Bah! But I'm trying to relax and remember that there should be plenty of time for them to arrive before the interview date.

Ugh...just another damn wait. Oh well, at least you guys are finally starting to get close as well.

Im glad to hear Kimbear's case is finally starting to move along again, and Frosty....don't worry, the issues will get sorted out step by step.

Good luck all!

Aww, jomegared, I'm really sorry to hear what happened. to be so close --- and now to have to wait so long! :(

I know it's not much confort, but sometimes I try to help myself deal with the waiting time by reminding myself that this time next year, maybe it will all be over. In the general scheme of things, a few months of waiting time isn't the end of the world. I know it feels like it is though.

Yeah! Finally! Hopefully things will go much faster from here. I have been following your progress since you are one of my fellow March filers, and I can't believe how much you have been through! I hope everything goes much smoother from here. Good luck!

Been a difficult week for me, dealing with distance. Trying to just stay busy. My guy is really, really struggling with being away from me at the moment. I wish I knew what to do.

But, at least things are moving forwards. I had hoped to have my interview before Christmas, but I don't think it'll happen now. Maybe I can look forwards to having it in the new year.
