Got our NOA2 and another new question...

We just got our NOA2 :dance: and so are preparing for the next step...

My Fiance is a bit worried about when it comes to the next stage, the visa being denied based on one or both of these reasons.. Can anyone give us any information about this?

* He has a small amount of UK based credit card debt

* He hasnt had steady work for a few months since returning to the UK from the US

Are they going to look at either of these things as a negative or will this play no role?

Neither of those will be of a concern to the CO at the embassy.

31st January 2008 - NOA2 issued

22nd May 2008 - Interview date

18th July 2008 - US here I come

22nd August 2008 - Wedding date

22nd September 2008 - NOA1 x 3 Received

6th October 2008 - Transferred to CSC

17th October 2008 - Biometrics

5th December 2008 - EAD & AP approved

20th February 2008 - GC approved

I-751

1st December 2010 - I-751 Sent (CSC)

3rd December 2010 - I-751 Received

7th December 2010 - Cheque cashed

3rd January 2011 - Biometrics

I did the K-1 for my husband from mexico, so im not sure if the same thing applies, but all i know is that he can only hel with the financial information, not hurt it. I know with alfredo it gave you room to include his information on the I-864 (for the AOS part), and iincluded all helpul paperwork showing his good finances for the I-134. You can put it if it helps, or not if it doesnt.

NVC Left : Aug.18, 2008

Packet 3 Received: Sept. 3, 2008

Interview Date : Dec. 18, 2008

APPROVED!!!!

Dec. 19, 2008- Alfredo comes home!

Jan. 5, 2009: Alfredo and I become husband and Wife

March 10, 2009 AOS paperwork sent, will wait for it to arrive via tracking #

March 12, 2009 AOS paperwork arrives in Chicago

March 23, 2009 NOA1 for I-485, I-131, I-765

March 30, 2009-Biometrics letter received, appt date April 10th @11am philly office

April 10, 2009-Biometrics appt. done, in and out in 15 minutes

Nov. 18, 2009-Card production ordered

Whatever his monetary situation is doesn't matter. They are more concerned with yours. You either have to earn enough to support him or have a co-sponsor.

The credit card won't affect the decision but I recommend he pay it off, the honorable thing to do. Also take a look at the guides here on VJ, they are very helpful :thumbs:
