Applying for the 10-Year Green Card

Hi - we're wondering, when my wife applies for her 10-year green card, will our financial condition/status be submitted and examined, as it was when we applied for the 2-year temporary green card? Do they require recent tax filings, employment documentation, bank accounts, etc.?

Another thing we're thinking about: per other postings, it looks like we'll both have to be in the US for an interview, but other than being physically present for the interview, is there any restriction on foreign travel before or during the application (for 10-year green card) process?

No restrictions on travel.

If you submit adequate evidence you guys have a bona fide marriage you "probably" won't even have a interview.

No income requirements but they like to see recent years of joint filed tax returns.

You need to read the instructions for the I-751. No financial information is needed. However, there is a pile of information you need to submit to prove your are and have been married and living together.

Yes and a lot more. They want joint documents, not just one person's name.

There is normally no interview for the 10 year GC.

As far as travel, I think you can leave up to 6 months. Someone can correct me on this.
