0livia, Im sooo very happy for you ! All the ####### you have been through...it's about time things are finally taking a turn in a positive direction. God Bless you!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Olivia, you have to know that when you 1) walk across that stage, your MENA peeps are cheering you on the loudest...so just listen for us! and 2) when you are finally with your beloved we are all sending you blessings of love and happiness...so just listen for us then too! :star:

:crying: I just talked to my Mom and no one is coming to my graduation ceremony because of the short notice. She says she may be in Orlando then.

I don't know why I am crying so much except for that no one is going to be there but maybe...Henna. I told her maybe I will just get the graduation pix and then send them out with announcements next December that I graduated since it's when I really graduate. She tried to talk me into leaving and coming back in May 2010 and walking in graduation then. I told her I'm not coming back to Idaho and I can't believe she made plans right when she knows I'm going to Egypt. I came here to do what I was meant to do *finish college* and now I'm done. I said I walked all over creation to get these signatures and approvals and she doesn't know everything I have had to do to get this and how many department chairs I had to talk too. Then she tried to ask me other details like about my stuff and moving. I told her I'm going to sale it all now unless she wants some of it. Now I wish I'd flown out of Seattle instead of Boise. It's the same amount of time on a bus trip to either.

I guess I will just have to make my own party here before I leave and celebrate it with my college buddies. meh. life.

You know everybody is happy for me but my immediate family? WTH? But I guess my family has always been like that. I guess this bit of heartbreaking saddness is the price I pay for having so many good things come at once. I dunno.

LOL...Charles ! I would probably eat the cake too (most likely carrot w/ cream cheese frosting) but it's the thought that counts, right?

That's so exciting that you are getting your degree! I remember when I FINALLY got mine. I didn't go to the commencement ceremony, but when I received my degree in the mail, I sat there and cried in front of the post office. :-) I know it would be great to have your family there, but remember, you did this for YOU. Don't let the moment go to waste! (F)
