HI everyone,

need to renew my passport shortly. I use to live in alabama but now live in georgia. I called consulate of the philippines in atlanta . They only serve georgia residents. my question is exactly what is required at passport renewal. Do they ask for proof of address. My old passport shows alabama on the visa that was issued. My husband still has alabama drivers license since we just moved 1 month ago and are still getting squred away. Will this cause a problem? i really dont want the 15 hour drive to washington dc just for 50.00 passport if i dont have to. any advice or anyone done this before.

You don't have to travel to Washington DC anymore. You can mail your passport renewal application to DC and have the personal appearance in Atlanta. I just talked to the Consul general and most of my friends here just had the personal appareance in Atlanta. Iwill do the same when it is time for me to renew my passport next month.

Ohpps sorry about that. Imissed that part in your post.I mean for residents cause I am.Have u filed your change of address as proof? Passport renewal requirements are found on the dfa website. If you filed for change of address it will not be a problem if you remove ur condition.
